Site Redirects
I recently purchased a new domain via Wealthy Affiliate. Moving from a siterubix domain to my own new domain was painless and consumed relatively little time. And the cost was very reasonable considering what I payed before WA started offering domain name registration. As a function of moving from a siterubix domain to my own .com domain, WA has setup site redirects. This allows url's with the siterubix identifier to be redirected to my new .com domain. Works great.
However, I check my site for page load speed using GTmetrics on a more or less regular basis.
I found that the redirects were having an effect on page load speed. It is not much but GTmetrix recommends fixing the redirects.
So, I am now doing an update to my posts and pages a little at a time to delete the reference to the siterubix domain. Along with all the other stuff I have to do!!
regards,
Alex

Alex,
Thank you very much for this post. I have the same problem and will defiantly look into your suggestion.
