Valuable resources for Musicians and Artists
I am in a group called "Sugarplum The Band"
I have learned an amazing amount of information here at Wealthy Affiliate that is helping
me to promote my Band. The courses and tutorials made it real easy to develop my site.
I have been trying many methods to get our group's website some local, national and global attention. I tried using different formats including; ReverbNation, Facebook, Numberonemusic and so on. They have all been nominally successful. Learning step by step methods on how to master these techniques has enabled me to increase my traffic immensely.
I had already built a site for my band before I joined Wealthy Affiliate. It was a very steep learning curve because I had a program for building websites I used but I didn't have the guidance I needed to build it. In the end my site looked pretty good and I was able to learn a little about SEO, however I was still missing many crucial pieces of information.
One of the most important features of this educational system is the huge community of people there to support you. People from every walk of life and various levels of expertise will most often gladly help and answer your questions. In addition the owners. Kyle and Carson, are usually available to answer your questions.
This is something I have not found at other sites, especially the more unscrupulous companies who I will not mention in this article. Let's just say I was naive and got taken advantage of by companies promising me instant wealth. I can tell you now that there is no get rich quick plan that's going to work and anyone who promises this is a liar!
Working with the Open education project at Wealthy Affiliate is probably the most valuable resource that I have on the internet.
It really is a bargain because you can start at no cost and take as long as you need to learn all of the available information. The basic membership includes Two Free websites. This is really valuable if you are completely green because you will get guided every step of the way about the intricacies of building your site.
This is a very essential tool for musicians and artists alike. These types of business models will work for any niche that you are involved with. The site can be personal or created to promote a local online/offline business.
I have learned how to monetize all of my sites so I don't have to rely on making money from my band. I have struggled with earning enough money through my musical efforts and making a little extra has been extremely helpful to my financial situation. As of this writing, the traffic to all my websites has increased dramatically. "Sugarplum The Band" is now getting promoted in the right way. Finally!
Through this process I learned how to combine my passions and have discovered things I didn't even know about myself. I now realize I want to help other musicians discover how to build quality websites, provide free valuable resources to them and introduce new forums that can help artists collaborate with each other.
Do not dismiss this if you are serious about finding alternative ways to promote your band or art site. We all need to help each other with support, motivation, developing new ideas and a little bit of encouragement.
The most important thing you have to do is find your passion and express it to the world.
I hope this article helps you get there
