How do we start?

Great. We've joined WA. We're going to get an online business up and running, and we're going to make beau coup bucks! The world will be our oyster.

Now it's time to get to work. We start with the excellent training classes offered here on WA. This training is second to none. It walks us through each topic that's important to our success. One step builds beautifully on the previous step. If something isn't clear, we can go back and review 100 times if we want to.

But now, you have to write! Oh Nooooo! I can't do that. Every time I sit down in front of a computer screen, or paper and pen, I just end up with the same blank stare that the screen or paper is giving to me. Well, at least we're on the same page!

I think a lot of us start out this way. Unless we write for a living, or did a lot of writing in our day job, writing is something as foreign to us as riding a unicycle on the highway. How likely is that?

It seems that for most of us, it's much easier to come up with any number of excuses to NOT write. And because it's so easy, you'll have hundreds within a couple hours - very productive use of time, no?

For us to succeed in this online business of affiliate marketing, or whatever it is you're trying to sell, we're going to have to get out of the protective cocoon we wrapped around ourselves, and jump into the fray. You've got to start at some point!.

This post got started just because I finally sat down, opened the "New Blog Post" window here at WA, and just started typing. With a nugget of an idea, things started to just come out. A little back and forth over the text: change a word here, tweak a thought there, things just started to come out.

So here it is - my first WA blog post. It feels good to have gotten this out. I heard onec, on the old TV show, "The Odd Couple" that Dorothy Parker once said: "I hate writing, but I love having written".

That's how I feel now. It feels really good to have finished this little post.

And, I really didn't hate doing it!

Press on, everyone!

...this is also something I find difficult to do. Thanks for the tip...

Great Post,

And yes, you're absolutely right, if you don't write you don't have a business.

You could out-source it, but then your website or blog won't portray who you are or 'have your voice'.

Well that's me, back to it - cheers,

Jacqueline

Thank you, Jacqueline. I agree-outsourcing take away your own voice.
Have a great day!
