Do you know what you want?

Do you ask yourself this question and can you answer it without thinking? Many people do not achieve their dream life is they do not know what they want, but they are an expert in what they don't want. I was there before, I have never thought of what I want, but I can list a lot of what I don't want. In the personal development world when you focus on what you don't want, strange enough you get all the "what you don't want."

Know what you want keep you persistent and focus. We read books on how to be persistent and focus to avoid distraction. We use these books teach ourselves to be focus and persistent. When you know what you really desire to achieve, the persistent and the focus will just comes automatically. There is no need to work on it.

I give you an example of myself, I took my driving test and passed on the fifth attempt (please don't laugh, not a very good driver). My desire to drive was there and I would persist, overcome the fear of failure and my focus is that I must get my drivers license. Another example was my Air Force Technical Test. When I was in the Air Force Technical School, I have hard time coping with the technical training because I am not a Technical student, I do arts and humanity subject. The instructors there told me it would be very difficult for me. The problem is if I failed my Airforce exam, I will lose my career, have to pay back for the training and the termination of my Air Force contract. That drives my desire to pass the exam. I overcame the fear of the instructors that told me most non-tech trainee usually don't make it, I persisted on even though some of the instructor ask me to change trade, which I really am not interested in but easier to clear the exams

In your online business, ask yourselves what you really desire to achieve, If you think is making money, This "desire" is not strong enough to drive you because you can make money in many ways and you lose focus easily because anyone comes and tell you that his/her way can make money faster you will just drop off and looking for the next "pot of gold".

My desire is to be an expert in online marketing, I want to know how to use SEO, email, social media etc effectively. I find the training in WA is giving me a very good foundation of where I want to go. I know learning these skill and apply them well, the money will come.
