Which is Better the Tortoise or Hare?

Does doing things faster than everyone else always mean better? Or being slower to act, more observant, etc.?

Personally, I think it depends on what you are doing and what type of individual you are. I don't criticize either one simply because each case is different. I think we could learn from both equally. Ask yourself this: What are you trying to accomplish? Something that is the next flash in the pan or something lasting that stands the test of time. And position yourself according to your own gear.

I think we are all geared differently. One person may thrive in a chaotic environment where it is rush, rush, rush. Another may thrive in a more low key tranquil scene where they can do their best work. I don't believe faster is always better nor is the slower approach either. I think we have to find what fits us as individuals and stay true to who we are to succeed.

If you deviate from what you know is true for you, you will find yourself going in circles getting nowhere. Life always has a way of throwing us curve balls no matter the circumstances. We will always be pushed to change or adapt to something. The key is when these times come to not to give up and to keep pushing forward. Whether it's pushing forward faster or slower just keep pushing. Any thing in life worth something is worth fighting for till the end. It makes us stronger people.

As Dorie from Finding Nemo says, "Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming. Oh....ahahaah.....how I love to swim." Keep swimming, Keep pushing, Keep moving forward. And one day you will find yourself on the other side. The flip side as I like to call it.

You are a unique individual. There is no one like you or will ever be like you. You were born with innate abilities to accomplish only what you were designed to do. You are in the right place at the right time and you will fulfill your destiny.

You are a blessed individual..............

Catch You on The Flip Side!

I think the steadiness of the tortoise but the intensity of the hare

I think that is pretty great! A good combination of the two.

For me the hare approach is all I can manage now. I do something everyday. Great post!

Thanks. I try to do something everyday as well but I may not be as quick as the hare nor as slow as the tortoise. Maybe somewhere in between.

Great! I hope to move faster soon!
