Awin is the affiliate network which Udemy has chosen for their program. As the affiliate network, Awin does things like screen affiliate applications, manage the sales tracking, pay publishers, etc. This is their choice rather than having an in-house program, as we can handle all of the day to day management and technical aspects in a way that a single program could never do it alone. They pay our fees. It doesn't cost you anything to work with Awin.

Awin is actually the global affiliate network for Udemy. We have programs in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, US, Canada and Brazil. Courses are localized in the language of their respected countries. The first listing I added on WA was this one for the UK program, but there’s a US program as well which you can access when you join Awin.com. The UK program tracks transactions in GBP, while the US program does so in USD.

To apply to the Udemy program, just click on the "Join this Program" link above once you've created your website. There are a huge number of different courses on that site, so you've got a lot of choices for a niche. As far as driving traffic, that's part of what you'll learn here on WA.

So I have an idea for my niche. It's Udemy, and I looked the url up for keywords and the highest score was 99 out of 100, but would I make money on it if the product was a free purchase?

While there are a few free courses on Udemy, the vast majority actually have at least some cost, even though it is quite affordable. You would earn 15% of the cost of the course.

In terms of setting up the website, all you need to do is follow the trainning program directly on WA. it tells you everything you need to set up. Listen and watch the videos, and it will become clearer. if you are struggling with setting up your website, you can also reach out to @kyle as i have found him very helpful in responding to queries.
