I understand the starting point is choosing a subject I enjoy and am passionate about. I'm into kitesurfing, but can't honestly offer my own experience of new kit. How about kitesurfing holiday destinations? Is it okay to link in other people's reviews.

Another possibility is coping with change from highly paid professional to unemployed. What not to do (been there) and how to deal with it.

I can see kitesurfing being a great niche. You don't necessarily need to have personal experience with a kit to write a review on it...do some research and draw your conclusions from that. Linking to someone else's review is OK but you're taking the chance that your visitor will follow their link to the product and you'll miss out on the referral sale.

As for the other niche, I can see that one growing as well. There's no real job security any more and more and more people are finding themselves in that very situation.

I say pick one and go with it. After you have that site established, consider starting a second site for the other one.

Hi, and thanks for your feedback. It's much appreciated. I'm thinking of offering it to some of my kiting buddies as a place they can contribute views, experiences etc. A kind of forum but with a focus on advice, rather than a social media type site.

Thanks again, Adrian.

Choosing a niche can be easy and at the same time confusing.
I can see you have a feeling that the last statement is a goo niche for you.
