The Benefits of putting in time

So I got the offer to come and dog-mind for some good friends in Southern Spain for 11 days and jumped at the opportunity.

Enforced time off has given me space to finally put some concentrated work into my first site, Kitemadworld, and get on with the training.

I've got more done this morning than I have in the last 3 months of juggling my current business with my future one.

I've revived my Twitter account and linked one of my posts to it.

I've set up a Facebook page dedicated to my website, with the same name, and posted and shared my homepage, and the likes are coming in fast.

I aim to create a new post every day I'm here.

This just re-affirms what I knew but have struggled with - that if you put the time in you will get results from affiliate marketing and especially from being a member of the WA community.

9 months ago, when I found WA through my now good friend Roope Kiuttu, I didn't know the first thing about how to build a website and make money from it. I just knew that the on-line world was how I could change my life and follow my dreams of being financially and geograhically independent.

I'm not there yet and didn't expect to be. Like most newbies here these first months are, I guess, the most challenging. Getting the balance between paying the bills in my old life and creating the foundations of the new one.

I haven't made any money yet, but how could I realistically expect to if I could only do 3 or 4 hours of work a week, including the training. But knowing that the time and work I've put in have given me the foundations to build something I never dreamt of being capable of is what has kept me going.

Imagine what I (and you) could achieve if you did this full time!

But that's the importance of setting realistic goals.

Now I know enough about this internet stuff that I can keep moving forward. And every bit of work I do on the training (and carrying out the tasks), and content creation, takes me closer to the first goal - to be able to spend less time on my old business and more on my new. And if that takes another 6 months then so be it. What other business allows you to progress at your own speed.

So a big thanks to everyone at WA that's given me great advice and guidance, and kept me on track.

The New Year is looking like the best one in years!

The new year will definately present new opportunities which we shall own when we put in the time.

Wow, double strikes! Keep it going

Down time can certainly be productive as evidenced by your post, Adrian! Great progress!
