Wherever you go, there you are
We all at times change our destinies, we change jobs, partners, home counties. Inaddition, most of us love to take a vacation. Take vacation for a week, a month, or even a long weekend to refresh our spirits.
Planning a trip is half the fun. We cruse the internet for the best deals, we do research on places we want to visit and we dream of enjoyment, shopping and exotic cuisine, We are happy and we anticipate fun and peace of mind even when our lives are full with crisis or grief. We think a holiday can bring us calmness and comfort and pull us from our everyday surroundings
However, whatever problems we have, whatever inner turmoil, doesn’t necessarily cease just because we go somewhere.
If we have been struggling with sadness, grief, anger, anxiety, before we leave most likely these emotions will arise encore. We can keep changing our outside circumstances but we continue feeling like something is missing because wherever we go we are still in our heads and our circumstance will always have a way of catching up with us.
Wherever we go, there we are. Sure, we can even go somewhere far away and get some distance from our circumstance, but our problems will be there too.
We are not trapped in our heads. We don’t need to escape our minds because we cannot. All we need to do is to listen, to trust, and to surrender
It is not easy to get conformable with our mind. Mediation is how we can achieve peace of mind and a clear and emotionally clam state
