Neknominate wa style
There is a craze sweeping the internet at the moment called 'neknomination'. The definition is "To film yourself skolling a pint of beer and then uploading the clip online. At the end of the video, the participant nominates a mate to do the same." It seems to have originated in Western Australia, but will not go down in history as Australias' finest export. Here in Ireland it is being linked to two deaths, and I am sure there are casualties in other countries also. If anybody here has teenagers or slightly older family members be careful of this so called 'game'.
But it got me thinking about how this could be modified for the gentle people of WA. Could members be videod drinking tea while researching a topic for their blog, and then daring someone else to go one better. There must be some good ideas here, I would love to see them.

I just read about it yesterday, Con. Disgusting. Particularly since the NSW government has just introduced new laws to combat violence and alcohol, due to one punch deaths.These include severe (some minimal mandatory) penalties being raised. This was because the public (including me) petitioned them. People power can bring about changes as surprise, surprise, so can parent guidance.
I read it was on FB. Saw a picture of someone chugging down a bottle of Vodka, supposedly. They should be closing these pages down.
Morons - FB and the so called "men" (thugs) that do it. No better word. Education? Our youth here have been getting educated about the effects of drugs and alcohol for years. The people doing it are adults, and may not be acting with how they were brought up. Regardless, they are old enough to know better and act responsibly.

Hi, acoolmil! Looks to me like a beer or beverage company's clever idea to sell beer to minors without promoting it for minors ...while the rest of us are not immune to crazy [sometime dangerous] things, young minds can get way out and get hurt! In States of Colorado and Washington Marijuana has been 'decriminalized' under state law and even though they swear they'll never sell to persons under 18, guess who is finding ways to get it? I cannot drink tea and walk or write ...so, I would be left out! Have a good day, my friend and, your idea is good!

Hi, acoolmil! The State laws are going strong on one hand. On the other hand, the Federal Law stays as is, pot is 'criminalized' and not easily likely to change ...as in so many ways in my America, sometimes we come up with strange situations. This one is one of those no body knows yet what will happen, though my friends studying law tell me that the Federal Law supersedes any State, but "states rights' is so convoluted in America these days, thee is no telling who will prevail or how both sides made accommodate!.
