How to Stop Feeling Overwhelmed
Christmas and New Year are fast approaching. You’re busy buying gifts or preparing for the arrival of your relatives coming to spend Christmas with your family. In addition, you have your responsibilities to your business.
All these activities can create a lot of stress in your life. When you can no longer manage these stressors, you feel overwhelmed.
“Sometimes when you’re overwhelmed by a situation, when you’re in the darkest of darkness, that’s when your priorities are reordered”
Phoebe Snow
How are you going to stop feeling overwhelmed?
Know that you are in control of your thoughts. You can change unrealistic and unreasonable thoughts by writing them down.
Writing can help you see the order of these stressors and how you’re going to respond to them. Break these activities into manageable group and take action.
Sometimes, you have the tendency to multi-task. Doing so many things at the same time can create stress. Focus on one task at a time.
You are living in an electronic world that allows you to be available 24 hours a day. Create order in responding to these activities.
Take time to relax. Breathe deeply. Breathing deeply stimulates the body to relax.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL
Best wishes,
Al

It's a holiday season and the best time to be relaxing with the family. Shopping, shopping, shopping spree :) When was the last time you celebrate Christmas in the Phils? Merry Christmas and advance happy new to you and your family. Thanks for sharing Al.
Hello 2AI. Thanks for this great post. I was just watching on the news that today is the last day to get gifts to loved ones by Christmas if you are mailing them. I guess this is something that will overwhelm people even more. I think it is important for people to stop and take a deep breath and remember what this season is truly about. All the other stuff is just stuff. Thanks again for a wonderful post.

Thanks for your advice Al. Reading this is like stopping to take a breath. I love Christmas, but it can be very stressful with so much to do. I don't want to miss Christmas because of being stressed out.
Marty
Marty, Christmas happens once a year. It's a time to be with friends and relatives. but it doesn't have to be stressful. We just have to enjoy it. I appreciate the comment.
