If you try to drive I'll tax the street

If you try to walk I'll tax your feet.

Since there are a lot of WA members from all over the world I was wondering what the taxes are like in other countries. The idea came about from a conversation I was having this morning.

As exorbitant as the income taxes are in the US there are places where they are worse. In England the very wealthy all have official residences in tax haven countries, In the Scandinavian nations they basically have socialism. The government gives you free education, health care and takes most of your money,

I would like to hear what people in other countries think about what they have to pay in taxes.

Thanks for some food for thought. Taxes seem to be essential anywhere but yes, more in some countries than others. They even differ between states in the USA. We are in Florida, known for allowing our tourism to pay so we don't have a state income tax. With the corona changes and lockdown, we are hoping that does not change.

Have a great day!
Diane

Nevada and Texas don't have state income tax either. When I was making money I had a Nevada corporation. I do know that property taxes in Texas are a lot higher than here

Yes, income tax is only part of the picture. Cost of living, including property taxes, are also a factor.
