Today I fell in love, with a man.
And this man opened my eyes. This is a transcript of what he said on You Tube. I did ask for approval. Lets have a look.
"If you play stupid games you win stupid prizes and that's what's so many people do. They'll just play the same stupid game and they win the same stupid prize. I'm going to be talking about pursuing difficult things and really falling in love with the boring stuff.
In business, I see people only really like doing the shiny sexy things and they want to do things that kind of give them a dopamine rush. And the work that I really hate doing is the thing that makes you money.
It's usually the boring shite and the stuff that I don't want to do that really gives me the results and it really helps me breakthrough to that next barrier of growth. I just feel like struggling to get to that next level and transcend to that next Summit, and it's just about really getting involved in the things that you've been putting off.
All this stuff that no one really wants to do are the things that are really going to allow you to get an unfair advantage. Because if you are simply doing all of the things that everybody else wants to do then that's not going to separate you from the pack.
By being willing to do all the things that your competitors are not willing to do you will get more people following you and eventually buying from you.
I don't want to make sales calls or talk on social media anymore like I just want to get to a place where I don't need to speak to anybody. And I'll have just everybody else do that and I don't want to do that.
But it's at a certain point that you can get to do this in a new business, where you can earn the right to do that. But it is not, in the beginning, it's not when you're at your single seven figures.
It needs to be something that you are really doing because it's really by Falling in Love with boring work that is the thing that allows you to break through that barrier and really get to that next level.
Because what I've observed is y'all going to do everything that everybody else and all of your other competitors enjoy doing. Everyone's going to be strong in the one same area. And because everyone has a bias to do the shiny sexy stuff that means that more often than not most people are all focusing on the same thing.
So if you want to get a different outcome from what everybody else is doing you have to do something different. And by definition, something different is not what all the shiny sexy stuff is. When you just think about it in simple terms, it is the boring stuff
.
So the thing that I really encourage you to do is to look at your business and to chase the really difficult things and the really boring things. Do the tasks that no one really wants to do and always gets the second part of their attention.
Go all in on those things and bathe in the fire because most of the time people are doing all those shiny sexy things just to fit in with the other monkey's.
And if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes and that's what's so many people do, they all just played the same stupid game and they win the same stupid prize.
So what I found in all the different points in growing my business is its typically been falling in love with the really boring s*** that I don't want to do."
Fall in love with the things you hate.

A lot of the times I write for me, I have to look at my posts through the eyes of the reader. And sometimes that is confronting. Also video is going to be more and more relevant. It scares me but I have to jump in. Thanks, today I have been working on my website speeds and adding search bars. Arrgghh, my brain is on fire, lol.
Yeah, it's easy to take the wide and open road since everyone is pretty much doing that. But, to take a road that is narrow and undeveloped that is a bigger challenge and most people will avoid it at all costs. Doing the opposite of what everyone else is doing will in most cases prove to be a good win. Thanks for sharing Zoopie !

I think he made many excellent points here about falling in love with unexpected things. One of my first jobs was in Account Management at a huge ad agency. One of my assigned clients was a barbecue sauce brand. I never used barbecue sauce and thought I didn't like it at all.
The my Management Supervisor told me I had to fall in love with my product if I wanted to succeed. The harder I worked to do that, the more successful I was in managing the account. It proved to be just a shift in mindset, which in this case had no downside. I've never forgotten that lesson.
We have to get married now, lol.
But totally agree , I know I am guilty in leaving the tasks I do not like to the last . Now I will bathe in the fire until I love the bad stuff.

Thanks for telling it like it is. The key point you made for me was to do the things others are not willing to do to become successful.
After studying patterns of affiliate marketers on Wealthy Affiliate I have come to the following conclusion.
Writing good content consistently can be tedious. First, you have to research the topic. Then create a library of appropriate graphics, Keyword research to find the optimum title. Finally to put pen to paper to write the article.
But it doesn't; end there. We have to do SEO before publishing the article. Once this has been done, we need to promote our post on social media.
Even then that is not the end of our effort. It is important to measure how well our post does with our audience using Google Search Console and Analytics.
In order for Google to consider us an authority in our chosen niche, we have to write and publish posts regularly. Until we are earning enough to outsource the boring stuff, we have to put in the time and hard work ourselves.
When members wonder why they do not have the results that the successful members achieve, 90% of the time I am sure it comes down to not doing the boring stuff I have outlined above.
Thanks for getting me to articulate this to mainly myself. I am guilty of not doing the boring stuff often enough. If I did, I would be way ahead.
