Today I fell in love again, this time a woman.
I know this sounds sucky, but today was my first day I got a real response to my posts.
The EFLor ESL market is pretty tough. English for Foreign Language and English for Second Language, if you didn't know. Not I.B.S. although it sometimes makes me feel the same way.
Why?, Because most of the groups are full of drunks and druggies or old ex-pats looking for young wives. Sad but true. But here is a deeper culture that have been around for a long time, like me, who really want to help educate.
And it is a tough nut to crack. Because if you post anything you always get the nay sayers. Today however there was the first crack. A fellow teacher in China reached out and asked for advice.
After only 4 months, I am pretty chuffed. In fact I am celebrating in my usual way. haha. Not too much though as I have to teach online soon.
4 months in 70 plus posts, 2 videos on You Tube. $1 in earnings hahaha. And the only way to go is up. But, I am a believer. Never give up, never say die. Hold on that was from a movie???
Had to share.
Thanks for reading.
Stevoiiiiiii.

Perhaps I should try my hand at falling in love everyday! Stephen, you are having way to much luck. I am an IT instructor by trade, but my heart goes out to the real teachers, such as yourself.
Oh, at least you made a buck!😔😔😔

Wow! You're a fast mover Stephen.
I can see that life is never dull for the man from Kiwi-land!
I love the fun you provide at the end of each day. Well, the end of my day!
Congratulations on at last receiving a response to your efforts. I hope this works well for you.

it is indeed sad and also very true and not in Vietnam, but anywhere it is warm, cheap to live, and offers a culture predatory males can exploit.
That being said getting a genuine comment is an awesome result, well done

Stephen, you are DEFINITELY heading in the right direction!!
It is what I try to help our WA to understand.
Do not get caught up in the perceived difficulty of a niche.
Keep building and you WILL rise.
The biggest failing in our industry is people who give up and walk away.
Congratulations!

Thanks Cassi.
Many thanks for your encouragement. It is nice to see a bit of light shining through.

You are welcome, Stephen.
It sure is!

Cassi, I like the way you put it "Keep building and you WILL rise"
Thank you, Eugene.
I am proof that it is true.
