Amazon Linking Help
I am having major probllems linking to Amazon products. I have tried everything I can think of. I have done everything listed below in an email from Amazon but nothing works. Any ideas would be great. i am feeling like an idiot. I can insert the link, but it does not work.
We offer Associates tools to build links that automatically insert the correct Associates Store ID in the HTML. This allows us to track sales from your links. Please use these tools to build all your links, including links for individual items.
To use our tools, log on to Associates Central at http://affiliate-program.amazon.com. Go to the "Product Linking" tab and click the "Product Links" option. You can either search for the product you want to feature using a keyword or enter the 10-digit ISBN or ASIN if you know it. Once you've found the item you want to display, click the "Get Link" button next to it.
The preview that you'll see is for Text and Image Product links, which is served by Amazon. It includes up-to-date prices and a convenient "Buy from Amazon" button. With the Text and Image link, you'll also see options to change how the product image, product price, and link colors appear.
If you prefer, you can select the option for an Image Only or Text Only link instead. For an Image Only link, you can then choose whether you want a large, or small image. With a Text Only link, you simply determine the text for your link.
In addition, for both the Image Only and Text Only links, you can choose whether to link to the Product Detail page so your visitors can get more product information or to the Offer Listing Page so visitors can find the best-priced offer.
Selecting the arrow button next to "Get Link" option allows you to create a text-based URL or HTML link.

Thank you all, I have to set up for teaching on line now but will try. this tonight. You are all wonderful. I will let you know if successful. It is a bit different to what I have been doing, so I am hopeful.

you can get an app such as "URL Genius"
WA May have a tool somewhere on their platform,
1.You enter the main URL of the page your product is on into the form.
2. Make it unique to you. you can add your name at the end
3. convert and test. you will end up directing traffic to the specific product.
