A win after 12 months of work.
My first real affiliate sale after 12 months of work, not huge but it has given me such a boost.
Total commission only about $20, from a travel group.
I am already making money from this site. But not strictly affiliate sales. I have been using my website to place teachers into ESL positions in Vietnam. But this is the first actual affiliate sale.
So I'm pretty chuffed. I did a post on Vietnam teaching and holidays and have an ESL teacher who booked accommodation ets via my site. This will lead into more sales...as I am slowly seeing a trickle of enquires coming through.
So for those who doubt, just keep on keeping on and it will happen. Now to scale this up to make it permanent. This sale comes from organic traffic as I have yet to do a PPC ad. Albeit am researching it pretty vigorously.
So thanks for all the support and I know it is early days but it is working. And my niche is not an easy one to make money.
In saying that I was researching a new post the other day and Lo and behold my post was number 1 in Bing. I was looking up me to get ideas on my next post.lol.
I am Gemini and a split personality but this is ridiculous.

Good morning Stephen,
Thank you for your inspiring and encouraging blog post.
I know that you have been working hard over the past few months. It's great to hear that things are really happening and your hard work is paying off. It's a story that we see quite frequently here when members focus! It just shows what can be achieved when we put our mind to something!
Congratulations on your sale, I hope that many more sales follow.
Have a great day.
Roy
Thanks Roy. I have had a few businesses now, some failed and some made me a bit and a couple made me a lot. However the amount of work remains the same. I am lucky that I enjoy doing this and have such a wonderful support group. Something which I never had in the past. So it is thanks to you and others here who have helped me with this. I am forever grateful.

Good morning Stephen,
My apologies for the late reply, I have had a long weekend in Greece as my wife is there at the moment!
That's interesting that you have owned a few businesses, I'm sure you have learnt huge amounts over the years of being a business owner.
I hear you, I thoroughly enjoy working and doing something that I like, it really makes such a difference when we enjoy our work! I also believe that when we enjoy our work it can potentially lead to greater success.
It's great to have the support of other Wealthy Affiliate members. I think when we are working alone it's great to have interaction with others.
Wishing you a great day.

It’s the support that spurs me on. The last week has been challenging for many reasons, however the motivation I get from reading blogs from other WA members keeps me going.
My WA day normally starts with me reading the blogs from other members of our community.
My first wife’s father came from Nicosia ( Cyprus/ war/ why he went to Australia) and I have always wanted to travel there. One more for the bucket list. The bucket is getting pretty big, which is good because it is harder to kick..lol.

Good morning Stephen,
My apologies for the late reply, time seems to disappear!
I understand where you're coming from, Stephen, I was just replying to another member's blog post regarding motivation. I really appreciate the motivation and friendship through reading other member's blog posts etc.
Great minds think alike, Stephen! I normally start my day by reading a few member's blog posts and responding to them. It helps to wake me up and helps me to get into writing mode!
There are some great places in the world to visit, it's interesting that your first wife's father came from Cyprus. I thoroughly enjoy visiting Greece, I booked another flight for July! All being well that will mean that I have been to Greece four months in a row!
I can definitely recommend mainland Greece to you if you want to have an even larger bucket list!! I think it's great to have dreams and ambition.
Wishing you a great Sunday.

Congrats! You'll always remember your first sale! The amount doesn't matter; the only thing that matters is you indeed did it!
I would stay away from PPC. Your topic could generate a lot of useless clicks and Google's first priority is to generate clicks, not conversions. Keep focusing on SEO and building there, and your site will continue to grow.
I fully endorse your recommendations, Jeannine!
Thanks Jeannine, I truly value your input as well as Cassis’.
It has just gone 12 and have been doing a lot of research and a little writing. I prefer the other way around, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way.
Anyway bed looks inviting and I’ve had enough today., so thanks again and good night.
Stephen
Rest well, Stephen.
