Table of Contents and Ranking
Hi there,
Just want to share with you a thing that I have noticed with my website.
With the longer articles I am using the plugin that creates a table of contents with link in the following format.
www.website.com/article-title#product1
Interesting thing I have noticed with this, is the fact that this link from the table of contents is getting ranked for a certain product keyword. So if you have a long best of list with like 10 products then, it seems like Google is separating these mini reviews into separate reviews and linking to them with the link that plugin creates.
Hope it makes sense.
If I am honest I am not the professional SEO expert and thus I cannot say that it is the way Google works and whether it would be the same without the plugin, but I can see some interesting results out of it and suggesting you to try it out as well.
I would recommend you to create the table anyway, so your users are not lost during the long article.
