Thank you Abbie! Will google remain as my set browser? I have had Yahoo pop in as my browser and I have to reset to google. I don't like Yahoo for searching. Just concerned I will have keep resetting my browser to google.
That's your browser settings vs. your extensions which is totally different headline.

I fully understand the concept of social marketing, however I do not have many friends on fb. I don't want to use them. The other choice with fb is to add a page for marketin
Even though Facebook is the biggest network I started with Google+ because it is Google and it gives a minor boost to your rankings.
But then I realized that there are limitations with G+ so I started using Twitter and saw an uptake on my traffic. Then I joined Pinterest.
I didn't start using Facebook until last. Even though I had a Facebook account I didn't want to subject my friends and family to my posts.
I soon realized that was a mistake to think that way because Facebook is the biggest and best for increasing traffic and potential sales.
I found out that you do not need to use Facebook Ads or even create a Facebook business page to get traffic and potential customers.
You just join targeted groups and share your links there. This way you are sharing your website links with people interested in your niche and none of your friends and family see your posts because they do not appear on your timeline.
Thanks for the feed back. I will get g+ going first. The others will have to wait until I am ready. It could take me a year to get them up but I'm fine with that.

I am not using Facebook as it is hard to promote and get a lot of people (without ads). I like Pinterest - it is a search engine like google, but only for pictures. It is easier to get followers and "rank".
About Facebook - it is up to you. If you feel better to start with Google+ do it!

Prior to the lesson that stressed the power of Google+ I only used Facebook since it's the most used social network. However, I've seen MUCH more traffic and success since I added Google+ as well. I personally use both. I created a business page just for my site content and invited my friends to like it. Plus I share from it as well. But Google+ is where it's at right now in terms of what we are trying to achieve here at WA.

You don't have to use any platform you're not comfortable with. In fact, using G+ is probably the best since google loves all things google and it can help your rankings more directly than other platforms.
