Google Search Analytics
Hi everyone, today I have to write about something that is on my mind since some time now.
Like all of you, I am working on my website for hours and hours and the goal is to make money with Google. Here at Wealthy Affiliate, I learn all the tricks to push my SEO and rankings from Google.
We are told to write meaningful content, long content, which can help the Google community so Google in return helps us and gives us better rankings and shows our posts, pages further in the line on Google search. This is what we need to get our products on the market.
Now let me get to the point of this post.
My best-ranked post so far is one with three pics and two sentences. Have a look below.
This, in my opinion, contradicts totally to what I learned and practice here every day. This post is absolutely my top post although I have posts with better keywords, better QSR and with up to 3000 words they don't get ranked like this one. ( If anyone of you has an explanation for this phenomenon, please let me know)

After all making money with Google is all about being ranked as high as possible.
I learned about all of this after reading a training of the good WA teacher Rob, Boomer, about how to boost rankings by checking the Google search analytics queries. He said to check the queries and the one on top is to be concentrated on. Write a post on the similar topic, link the two posts to each other and the ranks of the post will go up even further.
This I did, and you can see the peaks in the graphic every time I manipulated something with that post. First I generally redid all posts and pages a bit, that is the first peak. Then the second was after learning from Rob and writing a new post also about the sky train. the third peak came from linking other older posts to, and back to this strangely successful post.
The best thing about all this trying and checking is that the rankings of my website, in general, went up too. I now have several posts reaching position around 10, when before this they were all around 90.
Now I check the search analytics every day and every once in a while I write a new post and link it to the posts with the highest queries. Even posts not really related I might link to these posts as somehow they are always related.
I understand this post is a bit confusing but it still is early morning :) and the thing that I write about is confusing me too. The main reason I wrote this post is to find out why a post with no real content and copied pics can be ranked so high by Google search.
If anyone has similar experiences or knows what is going on here please tell me in the comment section.

Perhaps, Bangkok sky train is a very popular topic? I know that I looked up sky train for Bangkok last year before I traveled to Bangkok. Some places asked for your emails, information, etc. Your website is simple and direct so all people needed is the map and no attachments.
I don’t really have an answer for you on why that particular post is doing so well, but I do find it very intriguing. I did have an experience like this in one my past business’ websites.
I had a bed and breakfast with an attractions page that linked to individual pages for each attraction. One was an old water wheel that is no longer in operation. It was just a picture with one sentence about it.
I had numerous pages of lots of content on that site, but that one page of that old water wheel had more views than any other on my site. Like you, I could never explain why.
But the good thing is that you figured out how to make good use of it by linking other posts to it. Sometimes when you find something that works, you may never figure out why but if it works, it works.

I don't have this experience but I think it might just be that a map is very useful and popular. The important thing about content is that it solves a problem. Needing a map like this is probably a very common problem
Maybe yours is simpler. Other sites you might have to dig to actually find Tha map ... Just a though
