I head trouble to update my DNS at name cheap. They have other system for updating. When you log in to your admin area, than you need to go to domain list, check domain you want to update DNS settings for click button mannage. Under domain link find nameservers and check for Namecheap backup. When you have did this than click on Advanced DNS link . On the bottom of the page you will find the link add Name Server. I hope to save a time for you. I was asking support for help.

Twice I changed Namecheap domain to WA hosting and kept getting error. Both times Namecheap support made the change manually.
