Hi WA Family

I had a wee break from WA yesterday, blogging, I mean. I did answer emails and read other peoples successes. I also connected Pinterest following and added more of my posts to Pinterest as instructed in Kyle lesson.

Yes, I have to admit I don't feel guilty at all. Mind you, eight months ago, and I would have trembled at the thought of taking a wee break.

So what did I do with my spare time?

Well, I have been renovating our caravan. One of the windows got broken, not sure how though, mind you it happened to be the biggest one at the front.

Caravan Maintenance

We dismantled it with the help of my friend Beccy, who knows how to renovate caravans. The broken glass has been taken to the window repair mob, and they will make a template out of the broken window and replace it with new glass.

While it is being repaired, I have been cleaning up around the frame, and It was full of dust, old silicon, grease, green mould and dirt, yuk. I wish I had taken a before cleaning, but I didn't.

Close up of the trims, all dirt removed, need to get rid of some stubborn silicon.

Nice clean trims, need to put the fly screen back on, and we have to add the plastic trim. Stuart is going to Bunnings, a one and a half-hour drive to Mount Gambier, to see if he can get the white plastic trim. Fingers crossed. If not, he may be able to use something similar.

Not a bad job if I say so my self. It took me three hours to clean them, mind you; I had company, one of the truck drivers was bored, so he sat with me at work while cleaning the trims and talked my ears off. He is a nice person, really, and it didn't seem like three hours in the end, but I was so glad when he got called to work to do another run of grapes.

After I finished this, I decided to take some photos of the trees in Autumn and how beautiful they look. So majestic. It was also very peaceful—meditation at its best.

Autumn Colours

Apricot tree losing its leaves now it's getting colder.

This tree in the summer is green, and when the weather starts to get cold, it turns a crimson red, almost burgundy. You can also see some grapevines in the property across the road, and they, too, are now changing colour.

We are slowly coming to the end of harvest. Another couple of weeks and the pruners will be here.

All the best to you all.

It's weird to think it is autumn where you live and spring where I live. Autumn is my favorite season with spring being pretty great too.

At first I had no idea what a caravan was but I'm guessing it's what we call a camper.

I'm glad you enjoyed your break, Yvonne, and didn't feel guilty :)

Lynn

Thank you Lyn. A camper to us is a either a van hence camper van, or a canvas camper trailer. Caravan is like a small house on wheels.

A mobile home :)

Mobile home has more than two wheels. A caravan has two, four or 6 wheels. This greatly depends on the length of the caravan, e.g. single axel, double axel, triple axel. (depending on where you come from, the meaning of the words differ). We both could go on forever, Jesus.

Yep, we could. Not because I know much about any of the recreational vehicles for traveling, living or camping though. Suffice it to say, you were able to get some cleaning done on your caravan and that made you happy :) Lynn

For sure Lyn. Thank you for your response.

Time we'll used Yvonne. It's important to do other things.

For sure Geoffrey, some time away even for a few hours can do very well for the soul.

Lovely. Here on the northern hemisphere it is spring and things are starting to become green.

That is great Hilde.

When we moved to Northern CA outside of San Francisco, couldn't get used to non-watered brown grass in the summer and vibrant green grass in the winter with mud slides.

Hi Yvonne. Good day. You still did a worthwhile respite from blogging. A valuable reminder to change gears once in a while to keep moving. Love this post and pics too. More blessings for you my friend.

Thank you, Maria much appreciates you stopping by.

Interesting for me here, we are just about to come into summer soon. A month ago the trees started to make leafs again, the grapevine are green. Fun to meet so many fun people from all over our planet ☺️

Thank you for your comment. I agree WA is a great place to meet people from around the world.
