How blogging has transformed my life

Blogging has transformed my life in such a way that it is difficult sometimes to comprehend.

How about you?

When writing a post or blog, I often wonder where my thoughts come from, but what I have learned is that the topics we write for our Niche websites need to be:

  • Interesting
  • Have passion
  • Show knowledge about a product
  • And provide skill level

As newbies

When we are new, we are afraid to express our feelings, ideas, and opinions because we were schooled in a way where our opinion did not matter. Yet, we are the most crucial part of our niche and business.

When we write

When we write about our chosen niche, we need to show our understanding of the product and how passionate we are about it because it shows in our personality. Our personality? Yes, our character! After all, when they read, our Audience sense how your mind is working on the topic; they also hear it in our tone, which must be clear for our readers to respond with comments.

Reading other people's website posts.

I have read a few posts; some just do not hit the mark for me; they leave me flat, yet others show genuine concern in the topics.

Just recently, I read Christine Du's post and responded. Her post left me crying because it evoked feelings deep inside. She wrote with passion on her topic; she showed genuine emotion and intelligence about the animals killed for leather accessories; it was heart-wrenching, yet I kept reading because I wanted to learn more.

Did Christine have me captivated?

About Your Audience

Yes, Christine had me captivated, so much so that I wanted to read her other blogs, but I knew I was on a time constraint. Christine didn't turn me off as a reader.

So, guys, what is the lesson here?

Please don't take your Audience for granted or assume they will follow you. As bloggers, our goal is to help our readers like our posts as much as possible by providing helpful and valuable information like Christine did in her post.

Some questions to think about

  • What will my Audience know about my niche?
  • What do they not know about my niche?
  • What are my reader's beliefs and values?
  • What can I say to help someone with an issue?
  • What attitude or claims will meet their approval?
  • Will anything I say offend them?
  • Will they object to my ideas? If so, How do I handle the objection?

What will my Audience get annoyed about?

Some of the most annoying things I have learned not to do is:

  • Jargon
  • Unusual words (without notification on the meaning)
  • Put-downs
  • Constantly repeating sentences leads to telling your Audience rather than showing them.

So you see, blogging has and is continuing to transform my life in ways I had not expected. Thank you, Christine; you have shown me the way to evoke emotion in my writing.

I wish you all success on your writing journey.

I agree with you, Yvonne,
Reding is learning and before I start blogging I didn't read a lot, I used to read only the Big Title. lol

But now I get so concentrate when I read a motivating post and I love to read a post when you can feel the emotion that the writer had while writing it. Since I'm blogging my life change too!
Great post-Yvonne
Thank you

That's wonderful news. I'm not as timid as I was when I first started. I feel more confident as you will too.

As I have said to many, if I can get online and blog- then anyone can. If I can get a social media account, then anyone can 🤣

I guess the biggest eye opener for me is transformative effects of interacting with people outside of family and neighborhood walks. That has been the best thing out of all of this. Getting on WA or my blog/websites and commenting for a few dozen minutes a day after work has been such a relieve- long may it continue, in good health and desire of course 💪

Thank you Christorv for your comment. Much appreciated.

It's a good way to look at it, Yvonne.

I like the thought that you continue to possess. Also making progress in your content.

Best,
Myra

Thank you Myra your comment is much appreciated.

Woah Yvonne! You have made such giant strides in your blogging journey. What a transformation a year has made in your style and appreciation of genres of writing. You have developed a heightened sensitivity in the appreciation of writing as you have shown in Christine Du's blog.
