Hi, used to be a compliance officer before I retired, not sure of the legalities that exist now, suggest you check before doing anything.

Yes right now I am looking for study purpose but have ideas for a project to generate leads in the coming months once I have my licensing. As Davy Crockett said, "Be sure you are right and then go ahead.".

Hi everyone.

For years now I have been using WP Reviews Lite for product reviews on my blogs but now the plugin developer has stopped updating and maintaining the plugin

Hey Andy,

The one plugin I use is the YARPP – Yet Another Related Posts Plugin because of it's simplicity. You only get stars to use... and... you can set it up to be your review only... or... allow your website visitors to rate your posts.

Personally, I no longer allow ANYONE else to rate my posts, simply due to reputation managers abusing this option.

Hope you find this helpful.

Actually, you are talking about WP Product Review Lite. They stopped supporting the free version almost 2 years ago but the Pro version support exists. This is a pity for such a great tool. I have it in 3 sites.

An alternative that I use in some sites is WP Review Pro by MyThemeShop.

perhaps you can find here a goog plugin for your needs : https://kinsta.com/blog/best-wordpress-review-plugins/

Do you have google my business ? perhaps you can use this plugin then Reviews and Rating – Google My Business

Hi

There's a few on below resource

https://kinsta.com/blog/best-wordpress-review-plugins/

Sadly most of those are for WooCommerce Customer reviews and not affiliate product reviews.

Thank you for your input, it is a shame that they stopped maintaining plugin.

I'll see if I can other alternatives.

Looks like the Schema Plugin from that site may work, or I may upgrade my Rank Math which also does schema and would work in a similar manner.

I have a program I am promoting so far very well through my e-mail list and my social media channels. The system is well scouted and a great big ticket sale but it's a limited

Thanks for this, Andy! I learned a couple of things!

Jeff

From an SEO perspective. You could publish the blog post now and update it with information on how the event turns out later. That way, if you optimize it for the right keywords, you can benefit from the traffic that it generates.

You could also put an opt-in form front and center so that people who are attracted by your SEO efforts, and who are interested in the event, could subscribe for updates for any events that will be upcoming.

It really depends on whether you’re trying to make a promotion that’s evergreen, or if this is just a one-time deal.

Either way, though, definitely couldn’t hurt to blog about it.

Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Jeramy

I haven't don this type of promotion before, go by your best instinct.

Great question and great answer

This kind of limited time opportunity happens all the time. The biggest thing you can do is to emphasize the limited time restrictions in your post. Discuss that it will be available only selected times during each year, so "mark your calendar now" for the next time it's available.

This type of scarcity can actually work in your favor with a solid post about it. I would absolutely leave that post up year round. If there are alternatives between these special sale opportunities, you can include those in the post, but you can definitely turn this into a positive situation.

This is basically what I do with my WA Black Friday sales just I don't know a far-ranging date yet or if this will be a one-time event. I now have a plan though to create a lead capture page to start a list for people interested in live training webinars so I can make use of the traffic even if the event is never held again. I just wish I had the back end for the full system as this is a great team for the training at hand. I hope to do well.

Just be careful of how you keep that information. You starting a database like this screams CCPA compliance issues concerning privacy.

I have that covered with my privacy opt-in and privacy policy details. Sadly I will not be letting California rule my Arizona business in any manner.

It's more than just an agreement to opt in. It's all about how securely you store the information too. Having it on a laptop or desktop which could get stolen isn't acceptable.

Yeah, CCPA can indeed rule your Arizona business, unless you put something on your site that California residents are unable to register.

As to the safe data handling that is by secure servers offsite via a professional e-mail handler not onsite. California visitors can opt out of cookies on site, and can choose not to sign up to the autoresponder. As to California ruling America I would let the supreme court decide that. I think their State law oversteps the Constitution which puts interstate commerce matters in the hands of the Federal Giovernment, just it hasn't been tried in court yet.

FYI, I haven't heard of any legal challenges to it yet. It could take 7-10 years when one comes up. Right now most people are still looking at it like GDPR - the US version. I don't think there will be a case on it unless somehow someone wants to start one.

His all I was wonder who has seen the new comments credit offer on the offer comments page? https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/comments/offer

Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to check it out!

I saw that earlier with the bonus credits. I don't buy credits though, so I didn't think to share.

Interesting, I had not seen this. Thanks for letting us know.

I guess should go check it out for myself. Looking is better than reading about it, thanks Sruffey.

I knew I wasn't imagining it I have a screenshot this time lol.

Ah, cool man. Good eye. And those aren't just for comments. Those credits are good as cash and be used to pay membership dues, etc. :)

I would really love to buy the 750 credits for $250 but at last the $10 deal is more in my reach lol. Still great offers.

Thank you for sharing this information.

Maybe they are still working on the offer page, I just got excited to share.

I do not see anything on my end. Just one credit to write a comment. I do not see any bonuses.

That's all I saw, too.

Best wishes,
Karin 😁

It showed me an awesome set of offers to buy credits at a discount with bonus credits. Now I'm not seeing it.

It shows that I get 1 credit for commenting. Is that what you mean?

I'm not sure what it is you're pointing out here...

I dont see anything different..whats up?

I think I found a glitch that could be a bear for those of us using the site content tool to build post for our websites and track word counts. Has anyone found an error messag

Yes, I have. The new Gutenberg only recognized in blocks. But I managed to edit by switching to draft and then published it again when I was done.

It was very frustrating at first.

Kelyee

Thanks, the editing it to convert to blocks seems to work wonders it was frustrating to have to use the old editor to get my work online instead of being able to just us the new editor. Maybe the next update for the content tool at WA will include an option to publish in blocks so we are proactive for the changes because developers don't seem to react well to negative reviews and WP seems to be hell bent on forcing Gutenberg on us.

I haven’t changed Andy

Hi!

Sorry, you are having trouble with this and I hope you get your answer soon. I do the editing in WP.

Best wishes,

Cath

Thanks for the info. I am glad I stayed away from Gutenberg.

hmm I use word...wish you well

I haven’t been able to figure it out either.

Thanks for the share. Haven't used Gutenberg yet.

Hover your mouse over the Classic header and click on the 3 dots (ellipses) then click on Convert to Blocks.

Thank you, I am new to the new editor and while it has some formatting advantages for some of my pages and posts it had me scratching my head as to why it would not accept my content and allow me to edit it.

You'll soon get used to it, Andrew. I'm using Gutenberg exclusively now.

Yes, the new system is built for design aesthetics not for writers and blogs are about content writers, you use a theme for design or if you are a developer just develop your own theme.

I haven’t used Gutenberg yet, I am still using the old editor

I haven't activated Gutenberg as yet because of the negative reviews posted in WordPress as attached. I believe it is still going through its teething problems and there are issues.
