What I have learned in 16 years online, 6 of which are here at Wealthy Affiliate, that go beyond the training and will help all new members grow? This is a serious question I am often asked and often I rob the person asking by only sharing a few of the concepts because there really are so many things I have learned. Even in this post I may not cover all of the things learned but hope to instill the most important with you.

Tips from a 16-year veteran of affiliate marketing for new members at Wealthy Affiliate.

Here come some super tips from a broke guy who has had major success within the last decade. Read my Boi for my story but be assured this advice will make me a Super Affiliate again.

The first tip is about income.

Lately we have had an influx of people desparate for money who join and within seconds ask in chat how to make money here at Wealthy Affiliate. Our program here is about starting a business and a business takes time to reach a point of profit.

If you absolutely need money now, and regular monthly income to pay bills you should start a JOB before Starting a Business. You can have both but be realistic that if you put all of your eggs into WA making money in a month or less you will likely be very dissapointed.

Tip Two is about Training.

The approach you need to leverage your training is to start from point A, apply the lesson immediately and fully. Do not pick and choose what seems easy and what seems hard. The full stsem is found in using the full system. Move through all of the lessons, and celebrate all the small victories..

Top Three is all About Learing.

Training teaches you, but you must learn as well. To train is to be given a structured lesson meant to increase knowledge but learning is seeking new knowledge in bits and pieces. Learn something new each day by asking at least on question in Google, Wikipedia, Quora, or right here in live chat. Share what you learn with your friends here, your readers on your blog, or your social medias circles.

Niche Selection is number 4.

A niche is better as a passion than a business. A business mind would say let's go into a medical blog or follow Kyle into Weight Loss. It may be to follow the Affiliate Bootcamp and try to write about affiliate marketing as I do. The problem is if you have no knowldge about these things you will have to learn at least 2 new things a day to get up to speed and may find issues in self confidence and will find issues with motivation.

Anyone who loves researching their hind end off and writing a book report on it can do a Medical/Dietary/Holistic blog. Only those with passion can make it rresonate with the audience because a book report seldom has human voice.

If you love what you do, and know a few things about it. Be it your chosen career, your educational goal, your hobbies, your artforms, or just a passionate interest you will constantly have new ideas. You will also have moore confidence in your ability to provide value to your readers and you can relate to them on a personal level. That will resonate and build your tribe.

Super Tip Alert!!! Number 5 is Failing.

Failure is a fear of many and while for most cases it is actually an excuse for someone who actually fears change more, ioncluding success. Failure can be a cripling fear. What is I fail? Can I afford to lose this money? What if it simply doesn't work?

The secret to failure like fighting is to get back up, brush yourself off, and take a new step forward even if slightly to the side of your direct path to your goal. We tend to see a direct path without obstacles in our dreams but the reality is you may have to zig, you might need a zag, sometimes a jump, and at many time to climb to reach even some small goals on the journey.

Never fear failure as that is a small mind way of thinking. You must learn even if it means from mistakes. Make mistakes, if you correct them and avoid them in the future you are learning the right path to success. As Theodore Roosevelt President of the United States said in his famous Man in The Arean Speech, "Dare to Fail Greatly". Thomas Edison who invented the light buld said it took a thousand small failures to find success, he just shook them off as one more way not to make a light bulb. He learned from the mistakes, made small changes, found the right path.

Tip Six is Scheduling.

It is OK to have a loose schedule filled with added family time, time for travel etc. What is not OK is one I have had trouble with since my Nervous Breakdown and that is to Let Your Readers Down. If you post once a week on Tuesday keep your deadline. The more you post the more they will devour and the more of them will return but making a schedule you can't or won't keep is a big mistake. If your readers can't count on you then you will not be able to count on them.

Be sure to learn about the scheduling feature for post in your WordPress Back Office. If you plan to say take a month off in Greece then plan to write enough content before the trip to load the auto poster to reach your deadlines in your absense. Just check in the day a post should be scheduled for to make sure the system did it's job and manually click post if needed. This keeps your promise and your readers will continue to return.

Success in in Small Numbers Tip 7.

Everything you need is in the smallest numbers at the bottom of your funnel. Your funnel starts with potentially millions of visitors, thousands of readers, hundreds of followers, and dozens of buyers. You will notice that subscribers or followers make up 90% of your buyers because the average person must see an offer up to 9 times before the buy impolse kicks in. People need education about purchases and the more information they can get from a single source the more trust is built.

Your goal should be to get traffic but more importantly remember that Content is King and will turn readers into subscribers at an astonishing rate. Subscribers are pure gold. I know people with list in the 500,000 subscribers range making $2 a month or more per average subscriber. They do this through content quality and genuine interest in serving knowledge to the reader and value in product offers.

As I appraoch 1200 Words I will add on more success tip.

Givig up is the only way to become a failure. You can fail on a small scale and not be a failure if you continue to move forward towards your dreams. Wuitting though can make you a personal Failure. This failure mindset often starts with indecsision. You jump from niche to niche and product to product because of doubts instead of opportunity.

You think I haven't had a sale in 3 month so I must be in the wrong niche and you reboot your blog and go another 3 months without a sale then you blame Wealthy Affiliate screaming Scam when it was you who failed to give your business time to find it's stride and you the time to become and expert of anything. Quitting as they say is for losers,.

Summary of concepts:

There are many concepts that bread success. It is impossible to cover all of them in one lumped in post. Nobody has time to read a book that would stretch as much as all the content of the Library of Congress. Keep with the 4 secrets of success: Strong Mind, Strong Body, True Heart, and Faith. What I hope is these tips help you build a solid foundation going forward. Remember anything can be leared, we cam into the world unable to walk, talk, anythin.

Your Homework:

I would love for every reader of this post to come up with one big picture question for me. Something not understood about success and failure or a issue you are having with motivation. I would love the advanced readers to also add their own success concepts. I challenge all of you to site one thing you most resonate with in my article. And tell me about a success in your life.

Your post definitely resonated with me! I have never really been a patient person and knowing I was getting into a business vs a job really took some thought before I made the leap in WA. It took 3 years for me to finally take action! In some ways I hate that I waited and in others it was like I needed to to finally understand what I wanted before I could move in to action!

Hi Andy. What a great food for thought!. Not just one, but a number of things in your post do resonate with me. Here are a couple of them:

1. Income/The quest for instant success: I usually say, if you're not committed/faithful, then online business (or business in general) is not for you. No one is going to see your offer the very first time and 'jump' on it - so to speak. That's impossible!

2. Not Letting Your Readers Down: You rightly put it: If they can't count on you, you can't count on them!

3. Content is King: This is absolutely true, and it continues to amaze me: my niche FB page followers growth rate. Exponential! And it's only becasue of the CONTENT I problish regularly; and nothing else.

I could go on with more points, but I'll leave it at that.

Thanks for providing us with such wise words.

Wow! What an awesome blog post!

As a fresh starter here in the year 2020 I enjoyed reading every tip you dropped.. as it hits right on, realizing so many key points for achieving excellence.

I think for any newbie who came across the tips you laid out they could know "right-away" where they are, and why they would need to make future or immediate adjustments building out their online business!

For me, I love tip #1 which does speak in volumes to us beginners about "income."

I found WA before Covid -19 took it's hold on the U.S.
Income was not the only part that helped convict me in my decision making story of becoming involved to WA.

However I must say WA is as realistic an opportunity to be apart in for learning new skills & business creation. But probably is the only real opportunity for creating new hope in the world as we know.

Thank you for pointing out many things about this journey I probably wouldn't have reflected this much on --without your additional depth perception.

I will definitely be following you as you continue well on your milestone!

Congrats to your 16-year progress!

Thanks again!

All the best,
WaltM

Thank you Walt. The worst thing I see is people in a rush to make money because they waited too late to seek it. Glad number 1 has spoken to you.

Hi Andy, I have to say 2 things resonated with me.

1. Scheduling blog posts on WordPress and
2. Failure

Scheduling blog posts is a major challenge as I'm really working towards becoming an expert with my niche.

So, I will work on having deadlines and being more consistent with publishing my articles. That is a good one, but will take time for sure.

Failure is a good one cause when I was younger I had a very negative relationship with failure.

As I have gotten older my relationship with failure is becoming more positive.

I understand that in order to have success I have to fail. Failing is where all the lessons are.

That's why you practice everyday and everyday you will fail until you finally get to that point of success.

Failure just helps you realize where you need to improve.

I think once you begin to internalize failure as your road to success that fear of failure will never be able to hinder your progress.

This was a good read. Thank you for sharing.

As much as failure can mark where you need to improve in hind sight it shows where you have improved. Always use failures as a motivator and your life will be a lot more care free.

Oh yeah, I like that. Using failure as a motivator.

Thank you. I will be using your method, Really enjoyed reading this
Well done
