The Real Estate Niche for Realtors

Wow, I just got a great topic IDEA from a new connection here at Wealthy Affiliate and that is understanding how a Real Estate Blog can help Realtor succeed.

I had a friend, Lee Pollen who was once the best Real Estate agent in California. He offered to teach me and my brother how to sell homes and business properties totaling millions of dollars a year and we both were young and had other passions. Little did I realize Lee had more money than I will likely ever have in my life and he was never a broker just an agent.

Lee said the two things that make you in Real Estate are honesty and information. If a house was a fixer upper and needed work you say so. If that work is simple, or there is a way to get the home seller to fix it before the sale help the buyer ALWAYS. He said in any kind of sales the willingness to put the buyer in control of the right product for them is a key to success. You do that through information.

How does this help the modern Realtor make more money?

Information brokerage is what Bloggers do best. We share information and help people make educated choices. For a real estate agent you can write about things like how to tell mildew from black mold, or how to find out if a house has termite history or has been in a flood etc. You can also write about Landlord Tenant laws and link to your property listings site from there. What's more is you can link to things like plumbers and contractors, and hardware suppliers that either pay for commissions or buy telephone leads.

There are so many things you know and experience that can help future home buyers and tenants and can both boost your sales and add 100,000 or more in eventual second income from blogging. How many Air Conditioning units would it take to sell to make $100,000 a year in commissions for example?

If your blog were to increase your sales just 8% would it make you more valuable to your broker or sellers? If your blog put your agency on the map against top agencies in the area would you get more listings? Seems I didn't take one thing from him though and that was to take action for myself before teaching. I have helped people to 6 and 7 figure incomes yet never seen close to that kind of life for my family and me because I have been a giver over a seller. Now I am understanding even more of what Lee was trying to bestow on us.

Wow! That's really selfless of you. But I'd like to think that there's a time for everything. Now's that time for you to take action and with your dreams and strategies, you're well on your way to securing that 7 figure income. Rooting for you!

Don't need a 7 figure income but I would love to see $240K to $360K a year to live out our dream life and still give back by paying it forward. I see too many people struggle that deserves to be in their own business. They have the skills and desire just no money. I want to help them where the banks fail.

Thank you, but I must admit I got part of this set of ideas from helping SEO a real estate blog about 12 years ago. Dave Gilbert my then Aussie business partner took the job and was sharing idea so I got to see some of how the Greek gentleman that owned the blog worked his real estate business.

That is having your niche within what you do in your everyday life.

And as my friend, Lee would tell me. If you're in Real Estate it consumes so much of your life you are either evangelical about it or broke. Thus it is a passion for those who are life long realtors.
