Quotes to keep in mind when blogging.

I'm not going to brag here but the following quotes unless otherwise stated are quoted from my own experience as a blogger over the past 17 years and as a Wealthy Affiliate member for the last 7 years. They are born through trial and error and have tested the various rigors of time and still work the same as they did for the dozens of years before I found them.

1. What you say is second to what you hear in blogging. The better you listen to your tribe (follower) the more successful you will be. In a room with your greatest readers be the person with the fewest words.

2. Never feel like you are not worthy of being called an Expert. I can not say enough that an expert is someone who learns daily and teaches what they learn. They are experts because they make it a point to read what others in their industry are saying and boldly put their own interpretation into play.

3. The best reviews are from research, not personal product experience. You can buy 1 car and get a lemon or a top-of-the-line car but buy 100 of them and have a different opinion on their quality. If you do research of 100 buyers though you don't have to buy one or 100 cars, find out what others are saying and then summarize the outcome.

4. When doing reviews make sure you are sighting facts or that you are stating opinions, but be ready to defend against wolves. Especially with SCAM sites, you will find a core group at the top of the food chain ready to sling a ton of mud and threaten lawsuits, etc...

They are protecting their interest but if you state back the facts, stand your ground, and are on the side of right they will vanish. But if proven wrong graciously apologizes and correct your post on an item-by-item basis. Do not scrap the entire post as it is your record of what transpired and is still worth gold in terms of reputation.

5. Blog 2-3 posts of help for your audience to every post that promotes a product offer. The more help you provide and trust you build the greater your sales will be. Very few people have success as just being a consumer reviews site because they are bombarded by so many of them but a genuine site that helps them in that niche become a place they visit often and devour the content of.

6. Build a brand around YOU as much as your blog. Your social media for example should have your brand name on business profiles but your own name in the writings there. The reason being is you will not want to just state your brand when authoring on other blogs and industry sites, you will need to be branded as an author to build trust in YOU.

Hoping these help you on your journey in blogging.

Fantastic read, tips and advice Andy!

I love point 3! Without buying 100 of the same product, then analysing how well it works in 100 different environments with 100 different users, it would be very hard to write a complete review!

I'm all for sharing personal experiences of how a product has worked out for us, but John across the street, or Dave down the road may have had a completely different experience, so it is important to let the reader know all angles, whether they are positive or negative matters not.

I wish you continued success Mr Anderson, and of course a fabulous day!

Andy, I liked them all, but I liked number three the very best!
Thank you for sharing,
Suzay

It is one of the most mistaken subjects and a reason many would-be affiliate bloggers quit. They simply can't afford to buy products to review and the truth is they likely won't be able to for years to come.

Research is the key here. We can then effectively use the results for writing content that may interest the readers.

Thanks Yumablogger for those pearls of wisdom, really like your advice and method to organize a review
Cheers!
Terry

Awesome news. Reviews are the lifeblood of affiliate marketing and separate the casual browser and focus on the buyer.

Some good takeaway's there Andy.
Thanks.
Michael.

Thank you, I hope you enjoy them for a long time to come.

This is a great and helpful checklist for blogging the right way. All these points are practical and valuable.

Value is the name of the game. If you listen to your readers and give them more value in terms of problems solved you and your readers win.
