Imagine if you will being so broke that your next meal was uncertain. Think of a time when life was so bad that all hope seemed to fade. In that exact minute in life Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson decided he would not spend a life like that.

In a moment that bleak he chose to take his lumps from a failed Pro Football Career, and start a long roads journey into the business of his father, and his father's father, his uncles and a large number of family and friends failed at.

His goal was to be more than any of them had ever been in a business that was a real tough nut to crack. He worked on his strut, his style, the Mic, and the Gym harder than just about anyone else in the history of the business of professional Wrestling.

Then from the minute he was called up to the grand stage he took command of that goal and every opportunity handed to him was met full force with legendary work ethics. He had charisma, and confidence and even as a heel, the proverbial bad guy people wanted to like him.

More than a decade later Hollywood was calling. It was new, it was demanding, and was an opportunity like no other. He hit the books, and watched the videos, and worked harder than ever and is now one of the hardest working players in the A-List of a business that chews people up and spits them out to the tune of hundreds of thousands of yearly crushed dreams.

Dwayne Johnson is now worth in excess of $340,000,000 just 25 years removed from his $7 self realization. The realization that he was not his environment and never had to settle. A realization that he was a master of his destiny and could be better than those before him by growing off their mistakes and being bold enough to fight off failure and take another step forward.

I'm happy for Dwayne, Andy. He has the charisma and the physique to boot. Although, if he is fraying in the Hollywood scene these days, I'm sure God will be looking out for him. He is a great person, one to admire. But Hollywood is not such a coveted place to be in these days.

I often see him on chat shows in the UK. He comes across as so auththentic and he loves to tell his story. Never be afraid to be you and go for it. Thanks for sharing a great bit of motivation to start my day. The $7 comparison metaphor really jumps out. Phil

I'm just thining I have seen days with $7 less than $7 to my name so maybe I can at least reach a few million with the determination of a lion and no need for Hollywood.

What an inspiring story, thank you for sharing.

I also like Ferra's comment 'When there is a will, there is indeed a way' --

Best wishes, Abie

Thanks, there is definitely enough will in this community and the way is clear. Kyle and Carson with some help each week from Jay have spelled it out for us.
