Converting fence sitters to paid referrals at Wealthy Affiliate

The ones who don't can't see the future in their dreams over their fears. The secret is in addressing fears and helping them knock down barriers.

Usually, these are economic concerns so show them ways to save money and make things work. Others fear failure, show them quotes of great people who failed over and over before success came, people like Richard Branson, Michael Jordan, and Thomas Edison to name a few. Or they secretly fear success so introduce them to Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy.

Keep them informed of your success.

Show them the failings as well in your success story and how you learn to overcome them. Remind them it takes time, effort, and only a minuscule investment but above all show them this is a business, not a JOB. They will not make a salary or living wage until their value to the reader is such their profits begin soaring and then they can make so much more than some idiot in an office choosing their worth.

As a manager, I use to have to set a value to men and women based on performance vs budget and was never able to pay a good worker their full value. The boss was the only one who ever got full value for their worth and this is their chance to be their own BOSS and finally have unlimited earnings in reach.

This business is like nothing they have ever done before but also like everything they have been doing their entire life.

By that I mean the skills we use to get dates, to ask dad to buy us our first bike, to tell jokes and stories to friends, and to write letters to our loved ones. We use these skills in our JOBs and stay Just Over Broke because we fear the what if when it comes to removing our safety net and learning to fly.

Don't let them take the easy way out, make them choose.

all so true and I agree with you 100% that you have to admit display your failures as well. I love to blog, but often words don't come out of me to put into writing.

All so true, and agree 100% that failures need to be displayed as well. Not only does this show that failure is a natural part of reaching success, but that you (the teacher/ mentor/ leader etc) are a REAL person. It looks incredibly questionable at best to only promote success.

I really like this post. You are quite right that we should not show just the benefits but also the trials you might have to go through, in a way which won’t put them off, of course. This means when they join and run into roadblocks they can relate back to your message which warned them this might happen and continue onwards. Good thinking, thanks.

Great post !
I was in sales for 30 years and the first company I joined was one of the largest real estate company's in Canada in the early 70's,
What I missed when I left the company was the monday morning meetings that got us pumped up!

We talked how we got our latest sales and listings and then went out to look at about 20 listings.
It was such a boost for the start of the week ! We all need that !

SO STARTING THIS COMING WEEK YOUR JOB EVERY MONDAY WILL BE TOO PUMP US UP !!! Ha Ha, Ha

It's a simple message but one that is so easy to forget.

Find your prospect's fear or pain, empathize with it and then (and only then) offer the solution.

This is a dilemma! I think people genuinely know what they’re want to do!
I think it is a matter of trust!
It’s hard to believe in something you know very little about!
The key is informing newbies of the wonderful options at WS!
