Thanks, Abie.

The contents in those web links are too technical and beyond our skill set and passion. However, they are useful resources for anyone who has the passion and time to learn some new skill and do it on their own.

Thanks again for sharing.

You can ask site support for assistance.

It is also good to learn new things now and then instead of accepting what is.

You need to click the fifth button option in PM messages. Or help tab top menu and site support.

Thanks Abie for being on the spot with resources. Excellent.

You're welcome :)

Oh, those Core Web Vitals can be a real pain, right? It's great that you're taking action to fix them. Giving admin access to an overseas expert is an option, but do your due diligence and check their credentials. You could also explore other tools and plugins to improve site performance. Best of luck, and may your web vitals and traffic bounce back! 🚀😄

Hey Isreal,

Thanks for sharing. As a long-term member here, I am sure you know the pain.

I kept pushing this for almost a year, but I can see the impact, so I have no choice but to be on top of it.

I had a chat with Roope (@RoopeKiuttu) too, who also shared your view. As suggested, I will definitely focus on their credentials as opposed to the charges. That can be a pain too, lol.

I have tried caching and image optimisation plugins, such as WP Rocket, which caused more problems compared to their benefits. It also seems Kyle (@Kyle) doesn’t recommend them any more as per If you are thinking of any other tools or plugins, please let me know.

Thanks again for your best wishes with this hassle.

Cheers for now, Yas

Yes, you can try out "https://perfmatters.io/" - the Lightweight WordPress performance plugin. It's going to solve the problem.

Hello Israel,

Just touch base to thank you for sharing your Permatters experience. It was the best tip at the end!

I spent some time trialling and talking to Developers, Coders, WA Site Support, and Ad networks such as Ezoic. And in the end, something was clear.

• Eventually, most sites will need a site optimisation or performance plugin to achieve green results from PageSpeed Insights and eventually pass/maintain Core Web Vitals. That was the developer's view.
• Although very popular and beautiful, DIVI is not the fastest theme, and Ezoic and developers/coders are not very supportive of Divi in that regard. They do recommend GeneratePress over DIVI.
• WA Site Support was very supportive in working with us to find a solution to improve the performance benchmark we sought.
• CDN is a must to use, and it improved the UX in many ways. We now use Cloudflare.
• Perfmatters Support was excellent; however, they respond to queries only within 1-2 days. They personally help to optimise the settings (perfect!), and once that’s don’t, you will not need to talk to them anyway.

Now the site runs through Cloudflare and users Perfmatters, and we see 90+ performance scores with no problem.

Hopefully, our run through the rabbit hole will help out others in similar situations.

Have a good day.
Yas

Have you checked this out with the WA Site Support Team?

They may be able to have some input into this.

Hope this helps

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the input.

Yes, I have contacted WA Site Support; they will help me take a backup before handing the site to a third party. So, if the plan goes wrong, we will have everything to reinstall the backup and secure the site.

Unfortunately, fixing issues with individual sites is beyond the scope of WA Site Support, which is fair enough.

Cheers for now.

Do you know how to restrict the user role “Author” from viewing “Comments” in WP? In other words, how to restrict “Comment” to WP “Aut

Hi all,
Thanks for all your inputs.

After trialling many options, what I gathered was below.
- Most role access control plugins do not provide the functionality I was after.
- Some provide, but as an advanced feature, we have to play with codes or buy the plugin's premium version.
- When considering the stability, support and reputation, User Role Editor was the best.
- This link explains how to perform this task after purchasing User Role Editor Pro https://www.role-editor.com/block-wordpress-admin-menu-items/

Hope this helps and prevents another from going through the same rabbit hole.
Cheers, Yas

What about Poblshpress permissions? Does it do what you are looking for.
https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-limit-authors-to-their-own-posts-in-wordpress-admin/

Thanks for your input.
PublishPress Permissions provides the same level of functionality as most other role access control plugins.
I prefer User Role Editor over PublishPress Permissions due to its reputation and high uptake.
Cheers.

Hey Yas,

Have you tried the Advanced Access Manager plugin shown in the screen print below...

Or... https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/wordpress/wordpress-user-roles-permissions

if not those mentioned above, maybe one of these 5: https://ninjaforms.com/blog/wordpress-restrict-user-access/

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks, Trish.
Strange enough, the Advanced Access Manager seems the only one which provides the functionality I am after. However, I am a bit concern of its 4-star rating with many complaining poor Support and many bugs.
Thanks for the input again. It helped.

Thanks.
I came across it; however, that tread is about 10 years old and not relevant anymore.

Thank you.

Have you tried the suggestions i.e.

Adminimize gives you control over what part of the admin interface is shown to what role

Members lets you edit the capabilities of a specific role and add new roles as needed

https://wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/members/

Both plugins are still current, they may work still?

There's also https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-access-manager/

Hey Yas,

Not sure where you came up with those labels describing hosting but if you want WA to explain the differences in their packages, you may find this easier: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/join/

Hope this helps you.

Hi Trish,

I was referring to the first line under ‘Websites’ in https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/join/.

Premium says “Intermediate Website & Hosting Package ($100/m value)” while Premium Plus says “Advanced Website & Hosting Package ($250/m value)”.

Cheers.

Ahhh, Thank YOU Yas, for explaining.

These labels would be self-explanatory with the lists of inclusions that are provided below each of those labels.
