Thanks,

Wish you luck Ian.

Aye :-)

I've been trawling the net and there are dozens of the things! I've looked at a couple of the most popular ones but they seem to lack a bit of the flexibility.

So much choice, so little time...

Ian

Great idea!
I'm waiting to see the good ideas that you will
receive. That interests me.

Have a nice Sunday!
Ingrid

Sorry I don't know but that is a good idea.

Thanks, Claudette.

Great idea, Ian. I want to build a page on my site where ballrooms and dance instructors can post their dance and class schedules.

When my ex and I were on vacation, we wanted to go dancing, but didn't have any way of finding out where to go or what time. This would provide that service as well.

I just don't know how to structure it so that my people who are posting service can place their info, and people can write in questions and receive responses.

Hi Carol - allowing people to add their own services may be a little more involved than using a specific theme. But great idea!
Ian

I agree. I was hoping someone knew what theme would work well for that type of thing.

I think it's more the backend, plugins and the like.

Thanks for the info. When I'm ready to build that page, I'll be asking for advice from my wonderful WA mentors for sure!

Sounds great. I'd like to know, too :-)

Carol, Try wheniwork.com . or another booking.com.
I owned a therapy business and used this booking software on my website. Each therapist could go in and change their schedule. You can see examples how to integrate with a website. Hope that works for you.

Thanks so much for that info. What kind of therapist are you? I'm a retired occupational therapist and did home health for several years. I'm sure that would have been a great help to have those programs way back when we didn't even have our Medicare forms computerized and had to copy the treatment plans over at the end of each month!

I am not a therapist but started enjoying several to work on a very bad back I have due to degenerative disks. I invest in businesses and do some small business consulting.
I had a website designed, and saw the need to have clients schedule and the therapists to manage their schedules from their phone or computer.
If they couldn't I would. booking.com is perfect and is free to start until very large. The other is free all the time. The free version worked fine for the size of my business.
Decided no more ownership to locations now, and just assist others. I decided to promote wellness and affiliate marketing, and WA gave me the opportunity which I saw several years ago and just last year took the leap. Still learning and now in the challenge, so moving quickly into this great avenue of marketing.

You were right about the need for therapists to be able to manage their schedules more easily. I actually had one woman who apparently had me confused with her maid....she actually had the nerve to call and ask me to drop by the grocery store and pick up milk and bread for her on my way to see her husband!! I was SO tempted to tell her I was not her maid!!! But I was more professional than that....told her I had a lot of patients I had to drive to see and did not have time to run errands for any of them.

I know what you mean about having problems with degerative discs. Mine are C2-C7 due to a car accident in the 70s. No fun!
If you have problems with muscle spasms, have you ever tried dry needle therapy? It worked wonders for my headaches.

Never tried that. I will ask my therapist. Mine is C7-C8, and it was a major rear-end collision Jan. 78. Started having issues in 86, and use chiropractors and therapists since. so in consulting decided to invest a couple of years ago, but it became more my helping to run it, and decide in retirement to divest and work from home only.
Have a nice week.

Lady ran a stop sign and T-boned my 1965.5 Mustang in the driver's door. Totaled the car and my neck. Thankfully, it had been ordered with a seat belt, and I was wearing it. Had cervical strain, and now have post traumatic arthritis throughout my neck with degenerative joints and discs. Had surgery for ruptured disc at C7-T1 in 1999. My biggest problem is muscle spasms and severe headaches.

I have found that it is easier to find a physical therapist who is certified in dry needle technique than chiropractors, although I think there are some. Good luck. You might want to do a search for dry needle technique. Might be able to find practitioner in your area that way. Good luck.

Cool idea!

Thanks.

I've seen it in WordPress themes, i think its "News".

Obvious! :-)

Thanks, Jimmy, I'll take a look.
Ian

Thanks for the info. Will check into it when I'm farther down the line and working on that aspect.

You are welcome.
