When selling anything, online or off, always ask the question, "How can I appeal to what THEY want, specifically them?

Dale Carnegie once said,

“Personally I am very fond of strawberries and cream, but I have found that for some strange reason, fish prefer worms. So when I went fishing, I didn’t think about what I wanted. I thought about what they wanted. I didn't bait the hook with strawberries and cream. Rather, I dangled a worm in front of the fish and said: "Wouldn't you like to have that?"

At this time that is what is used intensively in politics.
Politicians give people want they want to hear. Even if the politician doesn't believe in that.

Politicians are great salespersons.

They promise illogical things and people vote for them.

They sell promises, and people buy them with votes (not money).

Honest and legitimate politicians don't win votes. Liars do.

That is why scammers are intensively successful. And we honest and legitimate marketers have such a hard time selling something.

People buy what they want and not necessarily what they need.

You have to dig into their emotions not intelligence to sell them something even if it is for their benefit.

So yes, sell them worms not strawberries.

You will make them very happy.
