Keyword, Niche and Market Research
Updated

I came across a good keyword in Jaaxy. QSR <60 and traffic > 3000.

However, when I did Google search, I saw top 4-5 results from very high sellers ( Aamazon, Sears

if the serps are filled with high sellers such as amazon etc then you will not be able to compete. What you are looking for are serp's that are filled with other affiliate marketers.

Thank you BeauAndNik. However, that sounds bit counter intuitive. We are looking for promoting an affiliate product. What is the chance that there is no top seller in the competition? Do you have any suggestion as to what I should be doing?

Whenever I am doing research for a niche market project i always take a look at the results for my "target" set of keywords. If they are filled with the like of amazon I generally move on.

The reason for this is that there is honestly no real way to compete against such marketing giants.

You really want to target keywords that are currently dominated by other affiliate marketers as you will have better luck beating them.

Having said that, there are plenty of keyword combinations out there that promote affiliate products that arent flooded with high sellers.

Keyword research is the most important part. Take your time here and put the work in.

Cool! Thank you very much for your suggestion. Definitely, this has saved me a ton of time. Since you know the game, I hop you don't mind asking me one more question.
Should I avoid the niche altogether or can I stay in the niche, but look for better keywords for writing content, the big competitors are not targeting?

depends. if you can find enough content and keywords to make it viable then go for it.

go for all the low hanging fruit and stay away from the broad search terms. target those long tails!

Thanks man! appreciate it.

I'm a beginner in WA. In my free trial period. I've been introduced to many other online 'success' programs, that would simply keep up-selling without adding any value. Or othe

The levels of success here are subjective.

It's a job, it's work, you have to work hard to succeed and no one can sugar coat that here.

The only up sell to speak of here is the premium membership and a discount if you decide on the yearly like a lot of us do.

Time is your biggest investment here. Consistency, and passion for what you are doing here is key for your success.

I'm sure a ton of people will ring in here.

Some do this part-time, some full-time.

Some see their first income in a few months..some longer.

I could post a ton of different "success" stories here but, I think Nathaniell really hits all the aspects of the beginner "what and who will succeed" here questions.

Welcome to the WA family! I hope I gave you some food for thought : )

thanks fyre. The article you linked in helps.

It's my pleasure : )

I should have added...keep asking questions...no matter what they are.

The people who ask questions get ahead a lot more smoothly.

You've got seasoned IM ers here as well as new and intermediate levels of folks that always make the time to give each other a leg up.

Blessings on your new business, you and yours!

Thanks fyre. I like the community aspect here. When you say 'ask question' does it mean in the Live chat, or in the in the text box in the header section?

Absolutely anywhere here really. Like you did with this question..you can go to Live Chat if you need a faster response when you get stuck with a task you're working on.

Sgcowan is the one who inspired you to be here..he was the first greeting on your profile.

So, he should be a great resource for you as well!

I'm sure Kyle and/or Carson the co-owners of WA will drop by to greet you as well soon.

Reply directly under their greetings and they get back in a pretty timely manner as well : )
