It depends on exactly what you're trying to edit and what options the theme itself provides. I'd suggest looking first in Appearance > Theme > Options. If it's editing the text and you're a *visual* person, I'd recommend Ultimate TinyMCE http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ultimate-tinymce/ Rich.
