Hi wind-weaver,
You would like to know why your leads who paid you a dollar for an invite to try out WA are not signing up. The only reason I can think of is maybe they are unhappy with paying you a dollar to try out WA's "free" trial membership. If I were one of your leads who paid you a dollar for this, I would question why I had to pay you a dollar. Seems a bit deceptive. Instead of charging your leads a dollar, why don't you offer them something of value, like a free ebook. Since you only had 1 person sign up this way, I would come up with another way to get signups as this method does not seem to be working for you. Ask for help from other WA members who have been successful getting signups.
Hope this helps,
Deidre

No, the link is not on ebay. I have it set up as a product on ebay. They pay for a PDF invite to sign up to WA. Anyway, in the link I send them is one of my old domains. That domain is forwarded to my WA landing page. The domain is also masked with a description so that it can be found online when doing a search. I don't want to enter phony info into it because WA pays you for the leads. You're right though, I should ask Kyle about it.

Check with Kyle on this one too.

I am assuming you have a [ landing page ] , that sends you a notification , via an Autoresponder...,when such a person signs up with you.

I think what you said could be the case, but, for this, I need to research the answer.
------------------------------------------------
My reasoning here:

So, if someone clicks on a link you have in eBay, and pay one dollar, you should see an indication of someone in activity.

If A WA link is present in any form, then they could by-pass your eBay link and go directly to WA.

========================
Question, is your link in eBay, Your..WA Link?
MAy I see that eBay site you speak of?

I have a couple niche Word Press sites already with custom domain names purchased through Godaddy. They are on the free Word Press platforms and I was hoping that I didn't have

Greetings Sammy!

I'd suggest you use a free plugin called Duplicator. It creates an archive and an installer file which you can download. Between them, the two files allow you to backup your entire website and reinstall it in a new location. You can read more about it at https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ There's a video there that explains the process as well.

Install and activate Duplicator on your old site, as you normally would any other plugin. Create the two files (archive and installer) as described in the video, and download those two files to your computer.

After you've downloaded the two site files, change the nameservers for your domain to WA servers and ftp the two files up to their new home at WA. Once there, you'll be able to restore your site without a problem - just visit http://yourdomain.com/installer.php to start rebuilding your site at WA; follow the prompts as shown in the video.

Once you've finished the move, you can deactivate / delete Duplicator. It's done its job, and can be retired - until the next move.

Note that you cannot do the above as a free member at WA, however. The functionality of the free sites hosted as subdomains of SiteRubix for free members is limited.

Best of luck with it!

Dennis

Apparently this duplicator will not work with WA. There appears to be no way of uploading the installer.php file to the WA server. Since I cannot access the database or cpanel there appears to be no way to workaround this. Any other suggestions?

Greetings Justin!

I'm hosted offsite, so I can't verify what follows - but after talking with support, here's my understanding:

If you have a SiteRubix subdomain (http://yoursite.siterubix.com ), there is no ftp access to the site, and you cannot upload installer.php (or any other file) to your site.

As a premium member, all you can do is create a WordPress site on a SiteRubix subdomain and add pages, posts, plugins, and themes to it. You can also move that site to your own domain (http://yoursite.com ), but you cannot move any site or site files back to a SiteRubix subdomain.

If you're hosted on SiteRubix servers at WA and have your own domain, you can upload files to your account using ftp however. You should be able to transfer your site to the SiteRubix servers using Duplicator - but you have to use your own domain name to do so.

Sorry for any confusion!

Dennis

Thanks for sharing!

Is this the reverse process? Cause I'm aware that you're transferring whatever there is in your site domain to siterubix? If yes, all I can say is if I only have the solution, buddy. Hope it will get sorted out soon.

Hope so too

I am pretty sure that you can Sammy but not 100% positive. This would be a good question for tech support here or maybe another member of Wealthy Affiliate.

Can anyone else help with this WordPress/GoDaddy question?

it is not hard to do..'
There is a method here on siterubis on how to do that.
The siterubix blue button. you find it there. also..

do a google search on it.

I found this so far.
