O! Possum
We live in a rural area with lots of wildlife. It's common in the evenings to find an opossum, or two or three at times, on our deck. We feed a cat outdoors and try to pick the food up when she leaves at night, but it does attract wildlife. We have a sliding glass door going out to the deck, and I will usually kick the door to startle the opossums down the stairs before I open it and step outside.
Tonight, I had my mind on other things and opened the door without realizing that there was an opossum right next to the door. After I had stepped out and saw the opossum about a foot away, I muttered, "Oh s*@!". As I stared at the opossum, he looked up at me with that same, "Oh s*@!" look in his eyes. I quickly stepped back inside, as he made his way down the stairs. Afterward, I found it funny as I startled him just the same as he startled me.
It's been a frustrating weekend here, so the laugh was well needed. Maybe someone else can laugh along envisioning this picture as well.
Wish me a better week ahead if you have a minute; things are bound to look up. ⬆️

I can totally relate to your story, Cynthia as I live in the country myself and have those types of experiences. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you have a better week. Must be something in the air.

I hope the week goes better as well. The only difference between our experiences is that you probably would have got a picture of the actual opossum; I admire your photography. 📷
Haha...well, I've tried a few times but my camera is not great in the darkness as you shall soon see from my new post later today! But thank you for the compliment. I really appreciate that. Here's to a better week for us both!
I liked that story, we get a few over here every now and then, Cynthia!
I hope you have a better new week, my friend!
