Hi William, what kind of "Social proof" are you looking for? Success stories?

Have a look on the Activity Dashboard and you will find 2 dedicated cards with links to many success stories.

The cards are:

"Success is Happening at Wealthy Affiliate"
"Wealthy Affiliate Members Know How to Rank"

Wealthy Affiliate has over 1.6 Million Members, we've been the #1 ranked and most widely used platform in the space since 2005. We are continuing to drive the affiliate marketing world and create platforms, tools, training, and support channels for anyone to build an online business.

Not to mention that we have added an incredible amount to the community in 2018, making the $299 per year offer even a better deal than in past years. Here a just some of the updates that took place at WA in 2018:

*SiteComments 2.0 - Instant Comments, and a New Way to Earn at WA (October)
*Wealthy Affiliate Mobile - The Mobile Friendly Version of WA Released (September)
*SiteSSL, Free SSL for ALL, include Starter Websites (August)
*SiteSpeed Extreme - Websites Have Never Been This Fast (August)
*The New WA Experience - Complete UX Redesign (May)
*Jaaxy Integration - A Complete Research Suite Within WA (February)
*Next Level Video Technology - Amplified Video Training Capabilities (January)
*Super Affiliate Challenge - A 12 Month Step by Step Training To Affiliate Success (January)

And that is just a few of the more significant updates. In the past year there have been 100’s of new training resources, 10,000’s of new and helpful blog posts, millions of interactions and relationships built at WA, and 52 hours of live classes within Wealthy Affiliate.

Hope this gives you some ideas for your post :)

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

When I was doing my keyword search I found a lot of keywords and I want to add them to the keyword section of my site. Will this hurt the ranking of my site by doing this?

Hey William Kyle explain it here. Hope that helps. Bishop

Thank you Bishop, I went over the video again and realized some things I have done that I did not remember.

Have to remember William, we not getting younger. Lol
Take care my friend.

Bishop

William, meta keywords are not used any longer, totally obsolete thing. Some themes (perhaps all) allow you to remove this from SEO part. So do not use any. As for keywords in the text, you use one, but a post is ranked for tens of different words, this you can see in webmaster tool. It is thus good to have text with various phrases to make it reach, so you can use synonyms instead of repeating the same keyword through the text.

Hi Jovo, thank you for your help. I am trying to get a grip on this SEO.

You want to use them selectively so as to NOT appear SPAMMY. You wouldn't want to throw in 20 or anything crazy, anyway!

I have about 60 keywords. I will go through them again and select only 20 keywords. Anything more than that is spammy ha? I really appreciate your help, thank you

No, don't use 20!
The so-called rule of thumb is 1-2 per Blog. What is your reasoning?

Your Keywords are meant to be used, individually, so you can keep your website updated. Spread them out...

I noticed in the meta keyword section most sites are using several keywords. I was thinking they are doing this to rank in these keywords that relate to their sites as well.

The Meta Keyword usage doesn't matter if you have 1 or 99.
That is different than what you were asking.

OK, thank you

I was about to spit my coffee...lol!
You're welcome!

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

I am have major problems when writing content. I can't seem to sit down and have ideas roll through my head. I have a problem with a blank mind when I sit down. It seems the only t

I do it like this I think about what I would be telling one of my friends such as a story or a deal or a memory and then I just start writing this seems to work for me all the best

This sounds like a good idea. I will try it and see if it works for me. Thank you

Here's an idea: Think about the topic you want to write about. This will be the topic of your article/blog/post. Then think of three things you want to say about it. These will be your main subheadings. Next, do your keyword research on the main topic. Once you have your keyword, go ahead an start a draft post. Simply put in the title (using your keyword) and the three subheadings, save it and leave it until later. Later on begin filling in your writing one bit at a time as you research and think about each of your subheading topics. No rush, no worries. Slowly but surely this bite-sized approach will work. I currently have 5 draft posts saved but not yet published that I work on when the creative juices flow. Hope this is helpful to you.

This sure does help. Right now I have two posts that I have no keywords set up for. I think this approach will help me to get everything I need for a post or page and be able to write a good article. Thank you

Glad you found it helpful.

Hi, use the search bar here for "content" to get some ideas, there are some good training, blogs etc

That is a good idea. I was actually just checking that out today. In one of the training sessions today Kyle had me to get one of these blogs or training and attach it to my sites as a link. That is how I found what he was asking me to get. Thank you, that is going to be very helpful for a lot of things

It is a great tool :-) your welcome

another good one to search is "writers block"

Sounds good. I will check it out, thank you

i struggle with it too. i have the ideas. its the writing part "sigh"

This is absolutely true. I have some pretty good ideas, but when it comes to putting it on paper; that is a whole different thing.

Ideas can come so fast that if I don't write them down, I will forget some of them. Then I remember that you and I went to the same "writing school" and panic sets in. Struggles do persist, but I pray will get better with time. Just "keep on trucking'"... cheers :-)

Thank you, you too

Just type your niche into Google. sometimes it only takes a word to give you and idea.

Thank you, I have been doing that to help me to come up with some ideas.

Try writing as soon as you get up. Right after you take your first bathroom break (haha).

Or maybe turn your room into an office so you'll feel like you're at work.

These are a couple things that has helped me (a little).

2 other things are sitting outside with my laptop/phone while I have a cigarette (yeah, I know, I need to quit) and on my bed/couch with the TV on (weird, right?).

These are a few things that work for me.

But everybody's different, right? You just gotta find your thing.

Good luck man.

That's funny, believe it or not in the bathroom is when I come up with good ideas. Thank you

I struggle with this as well. I like TJ's suggestion.

Write like you don't have a day job! As if your very livelihood depended on the amount of posts you put out. If you can convince yourself of that, you'll have no problem writing.

I think the answer to this question varies from person to person. It's ultimately up to you to figure out what gets the noggin firing and the keyboard click-clackin'.

What's your niche?

Right now I am just promoting WA. I know Kyle gives us a lot of examples, but I don't want to use so much of his material. I find myself using a lot of his material, but just rewording it. I want to come up with my own words, but when I try to do that I sit there and nothing comes out for hours. It really is taking me a long time to come up with content. I am going to try everyone's ideas. There has to be something that works for me. Your right though it varies from person to person.
Thank you Derek

Thank you for a good question-

Try brainstorming first, writing down all the ideas that come to mind concerning your topic.
Then create an outline with the main points and supporting points.
Then use the outline as a guide to writing your content.

Interesting and useful guidelines. Thanks

That is a great idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I will try it, thanks

Keep your iPhone next to your bed and make a quick note to remind you in the morning! OK, it's probably not the best advice but I do this a lot! lol

Thank you TJ. I was just thinking I was lazy because I was getting sick of getting up and jotting it down on paper. Sometime I would forget by the time I gathered the pen and paper. I will try this.
Thanks again.
William

No worries, I'm like you, I do some of my best thinking at 3am when I'd rather be sleeping! Good luck
