Hi all, just wondering what theme you're all using and why...?

I'm using a free one at the moment (Colormag) and it's good, but as I build out more content, I'm wonderin

Thrive themes

I test it first before buying in, because that can be expensive.

You want to make sure they are responsive, extremely light, fast, well coded, SEO optimised, flexible, adaptable and customisable

You may try GeneratePress or Premium where you can extend the theme and can have many layout templates.

https://generatepress.com/premium/

https://generateblocks.com/
https://generateblocks.com/pro/

Kadence WP with Kadence blocks

Blocksy

You can also review below resource about other options I hope this helps.

Astra is a fantastic theme, as us Generate Press. Jim

We are using Astra. We are still using the free version because it has so much flexibility. It is recommended as one of the top 5 for fast speed (Generate press, Neve) also included. New features are added consistently to keep it current with trends They have a lot of documentation, demos, example of other sites and even some starter templates that can be used. We have not used them. There are also YouTubes on it. It is easy to make the menu sticky. It has 2 header menu options and great footer cust9omization. It is an extremely popular theme and has high ratings. It may be too complicated for beginners. Not sure. We feel we can trust the theme to be around for a long time because of its number of users.

I try a bunch of different themes. Right now I am using "Neve" and like it a lot.

However, my favorites are premium themes I've paid for, like Thrive.

Hi all,

I'll be honest, could do with a bit of self-gratifying encouragement / advice - many thanks in advance for any positive vibes on offer out there!

Hi Will, Thanks for posting this question. I know it was posted a while ago now, but it was really encouraging to me because your stats are basically the same as mine was when I had 20 articles. I have about doubled that now, and it has almost doubled my traffic. So to answer your question, your site's performance is on track for having 20 articles. As everyone is saying, more content, more traffic. I would also consider if you are in a competitive niche as well. If you are, that may mean that it will take you a bit longer to make sales. I would also check out how your keywords are ranking- you may be doing this already- in the GSC.

Thanks Ann, that's appreciated and very encouraging. It's sometimes hard to know if you're getting anywhere, so good to know that these stats are comparable to others at least.

Since posting this question and getting the feedback, I've been busy creating more content - now have 33 articles and counting...so will keep moving forward and see where it takes me...

Good idea about the GSC rankings too - thanks!

All the best.

The good news here is that you have an easily identified culprit, and that's lack of content.

Focus on the content, making more and more of it, putting your nose down and writing quality article after quality article, not even focusing on commissions, just simple volume of quality content, and that's the key.

Traffic will grow, conversions will grow, and revenue will grow.
But it all stems from content :)

Thanks Eric good stuff. More content... :)

My first thought is 25 posts and that is all. Not sure what your niche is, but even though you have long posts, 25 will not do it. Writing 2 -3 new ones a week is recommended.

Have your posts answered the questions people have about your niche? answersocrates dotcom. What is your niche doing in trends.google dot com? Can any query words in Google Search console results be used for new post titles? Do you have 70% of your posts as informational (how to, guides, definitions, answers to questions). Informational posts are good for growing traffic. We see you signed up for Amazon - does Amazon show any best sellers in your niche? Those can be good for product reviews.

As of images, don't know if you are aware, but Jay has mentioned in his classes that because we market for manufacturers we are able to use their photos in our sites as well.

RVs Rock has a very practical idea - signage for your website..

It does take effort to get the traffic volume to grow. So glad to hear that you have learned a lot from the training and are looking forward to learning more..

Thanks, some great ideas here and...yes, back to work on more posts - need to get quicker...!

Great! Glad we could help.

Hi - unfortunately, 25 posts in the space of a year will barely have attracted Google's attention.

By now, as a minimum, you should have over 100. And preferably more, if you are in a competitive niche such as health, making money or relationships.

You need to show Google that you are an authority on your niche, and that takes a lot of content.

And the majority of your posts should be purely informational with no selling intent and not be product based. Google needs to see that you are helping people, not just writing for the purpose of selling something.

You can ask for feedback on your site, to make sure that what you have done so far is OK, and then you should focus on nothing but writing.

Great comments! It am learning them for my site too.

Thanks Diane, 100 posts+ my new target for this year...

Hey,

It really takes a lot of work and can be draining at times. Lots of people give up because they don't see the 4-figure money they were fantasizing about. What I can say is to not limit your ability to make money through affiliate marketing with Amazon only. Explore other platforms such as CJ or Share-A-Sale or Impact Radius. There's a ton of ways you can monetize your website. Maybe you can come up with a product that is related to your niche and sell it as your own? Can you teach it? Maybe create a course about it. Can you re-write it into a book? Maybe sell on the Kindle marketplace? There's plenty out there.

I hope this helps,
💎Kimmy

Thanks Kimmy, some great ideas here.

Hi there, been on WA premium for nearly a year now - building and writing away on a new site. It's a great service and community!

Meanwhile, I have another old website (

Your membership covers the hosting of 10 websites.
If you choose to have WA handle your domain registration as well, you may be charged for the yearly domain fee of $14.99 so a full year of ownership is ensured.

Transferring your domain websites may be easy but sometimes challenges are encountered. It is best to ask Site Support for their help. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Make sure you backup your websites before the Transfer.

You may transfer or point to WA servers (if transferring domain has to end in .com, .net or .org.

To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. To transfer your domain here you need login current registrar and fetch the EPP code, there's a one year charge of $15, privacy included. One year more will get added to your domain.

Also it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

If your site has content you need get in touch with site support for further instructions.

They will typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name, they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files then you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.
