It seems that my dashboard at WA has changed. Letters became smaller than I used to and the working space became smaller too. This started while I was writing an article in Sit

Hi

System update November 2020, left sidebar moved to top.

You can adjust the zoom on your browser.

Sire content may start jumping sometimes if you paste something into it.

Apologies, the old version cannot be restored.

Thank you, Abie!

So very welcome.

Is it proper to post articles covering different niches under one website?

I think it depends on how you define niche. For instance, if your niche was broad and related to “Healthy living” your Health website could cover weight loss, healthy eating, weight lifting, yoga, etc. That's a daunting task for article development and could take you several years to develop significant traffic and Authority.

If your niche is narrow under health you might focus on Keto Diet for Women, for instance. Easier for you to focus your writing and grow.

If you have different unrelated niches on the same website visitors could be confused. Note the key word being 'unrelated'. I could be looking for a power saw. If I however have to go through or see blogs unrelated, like info on a Keto diet, I will go somewhere else where the content is more focused. Therefore much harder to develop a website in this manner.

Hope this makes sense.
Hugh

Hi, yes on niche a site.

Otherwise you'd confuse Google and your visitors.

Once site starts gaining traffic traction and authority you'd then think to scale. However for starters I would stick the one specific niche a website

See example below

Hi - there should only be one niche on a website, so as not to confuse your visitors and for Google to see you as an authority on your subject.

However, once you have gained that authority and your posts have started ranking, you can branch out to further aspects of that niche. However, they should still be related in some way.

For example, if your narrow niche was kitchen gadgets, then eventually you could expand to gadgets for bathrooms, etc. However, you shouldn't add posts about making money, or pets or travel, etc.

yes although over time you will find relevent linkages so you can chunk up and down then left and right... so a city hotel niche is only about hotels in that city, but people need a place to eat and concerts to go to .. and how to dress...but start with the hotels... afterall we all need somewhere to sleep first, good luck, Phil

Is there a specific standard to determine that a website is fully developed?

Hi - I note that in further clarification, you state this is for Amazon's purposes. Essentially, they just require it to be accessible on the internet and have some content.

Do be aware that you will have to meet their sales target of 3 sales in 180 days or you will be removed from their program.

If Google and the various affiliate programs stopped changing and updating their terms of engagement tweaking the rules, updating algorithms.

We could probably say a website could be approaching full development.

Unfortunately that is not the case. Things are always changing and the competion never rests. So to help a website mature, to where sales are happening and growing, we need to work away consistently.

Never is the simple answer because are building a brand and a website is just part of the that.. its a different frame to view it through but helpful I think , good luck, Phil

Hi, Wilfredo!. As AbieAJ say a website is a "thing" that is constantly evolving. So fully is not apllicable in this context.

You could say that your website is "fully developed" when you publish it online, but it is a living thing. There is always somehting to adjust and tweak on every website that is out there.

Consistent publishng of content is the key to be attractive to the Interenet traffic.

Roy

Hi, Roy! Thanks for giving me additional insight.

Hi a site is never finished. You'd always need updating blog with 2 - 3 posts a week a niche a site and for the foreseeable future.

Consistency is paramount and google loves consistency.

So in answer to your question, I'd say 'fully' not applicable.

You'd want keep adding original high quality impact content with good choice of keywords addressing issues related to a specific chosen niche, to gain googles trust your site becoming an authority, and if people are looking for them keywords, your posts will begin to rank however that happens months later.

Anything specific you are referring to? kindly let us know.

Thanks Abie for being so attentive!
I'm specifically referring to what Amazon Associates Program requires which stated that to apply as affiliate website must be fully developed.

You'd need write 15 - 20 posts and have some traffic as Amazon would typically check your site for relevance and traffic prior approval.

Once they do, they've give you material and special code onto which you can use, please also always adhere to their terms and conditions.
