will WA ever have a two tier affiliate program?
I know it wont happen because I know what Kyle and Carson are about even in my short time here, and I know if it ever did a lot of members would leave including me. It's perfect as it is, it's home and we're all friends here.
No need for one. It will tarnish the system here that has been in place form the beginning. It would turn this into a multilevel marketing program and that is not what WA is about. I agree with Mr. Business. It would turn into a recruiting game.

This is deemed as a "pyramid" scheme by most merchants and we will not be offering a two tier affiliate program. If you want to promote WA as an affiliate, you can do that but we do not want this to becoming a sponsor/downline relationship as all of those programs that are doing that are very unethical our opinion.
Marlin Sanders is a respected successful online marketer , and many of his affiliate programs are two tier.

I see WA as a secure port in the internet storm of hype and hucksters. It's good you raised this subject because the discussion helps clarify what WA is about. I appreciate Kyle taking the time to respond.

Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious - but you all are checking your search ranking from browsers you are not logged into, correct? What I see as #1 result (based on my search history) is different than what other people see. How are you checking your ranking?
Need to make sure the keyword you are ranking for is getting good search numbers, that is the bottom line.
I'm new to WA (2 months old I guess). I have 3 articles on my site and one on Hubpages. All 4 rank on the first page of Google! However, I'm seeing little to no traffic. My thought is that my keywords weren't the best... However, using Jaaxy and the Keyword Tool, all 4 of my keywords were in the 110-180 monthly searches range (mostly at the higher end of that range) and were not very competitive (0-50...mostly at the lower end of that range). Am I doing something wrong? I just placed my first article on StreetArticles last week and I'm getting good traffic there and a few referrals. The new keyword for the article on StreetArticles has much higher traffic per our tools (1000+) and isn't all that competitive (150).... Any help is appreciated! Thanks!! I never received a reply to my inquires about this issue last week... so I've decided to go a different direction... narrow the niche, Increase the minimum "monthly searches" to 200 or more (rather than 50 like the training suggests), etc...
Yes you are right the solution to this problem is to focus on long tail low competition key words and publish as many posts and articles as you can ... her is an example lets say you can write just one article per day over 90 days you will have ninety articles ranking in Google if each article or post just got you fifty views each that works out to 4,500 views to your website . Marketing is a numbers game the more the better.
As Kyle says ... content content content you need to post one article and create one post each day / you can do it ... once you start to make some money you can hire writers to do the writing for you when you have one blog post and one article in circulation each day guess what will happen??? $$$
This happened to me with two sites that I built using keywords I gleaned from the Google keyword tool. The Google stated that keyword phrase that my site ranked for received 20,000 local searches per month and low competition. My site ranked #1 on Google overnight then sat there with no traffic.
When I signed up with Jaaxy I found out that the keyword phrase actually receives 76 searches per month and 14 views, which is almost exactly what my website receives.
I believe that many people have been similarly disillusioned by Google like I was. Another matter I think that affects page traffic is that often those sites are ranked for the "low hanging fruit keywords." Easy to rank for keywords are great for article traffic, but it the keyword or keyword phrase you are trying to rank your website for doesn't have a good amount of traffic then your site won't either.
That's just my opinion. Take it for what you will.

I think this comes down to a few different reasons.
1: The site isn't really ranking high, the member is signed into Google etc giving personal results.
2: Title and description is perhaps poor and the searcher is going to another web result.
3: Perhaps a authority site is also ranking high, searcher maybe seeing a well known authority site and selecting them over the other.
4: Nobody searches the phrase, or maybe one or two times per week and traffic is going to other web results.
One thing to look into if setup with webmaster tools is the "Search Queries".
I don't think this gives you all the data and correct numbers, but it will return data related to the number of impressions and clicks, in other words, the number of times your sites appears in SERPs. You can even individual pages etc.
this is a question that has been floating around for some time with no answers , many WA embers have their domain on the first page of Google with no traffic .

Stop chasing the money - if you focus on the money you'll never make money - sounds odd but true. Focus on sharing your knowledge, what the WA has to offer and helping people. Do that and the money will follow.
