Hi Marion,
How can I find out what theme is being used in my favorite website style if it is not a wordpress theme?
I can't find any clues on the site to
Hi Janelle,
Excellent website, the travel niche has some real beauties, I see that they are using a Joomla template.
https://whatcms.org
I use this one to discern what CMS is being used on a site, not everyone uses word press, it also gives you the ability to determine the hosting provider, which can be helpful.
Looking at the site and assuming that you want to go full on Wordpress, Divi by elegant themes could be a port of call, they have an excellent visual builder which would make it possible to create a site that is similar to the one you are looking at, just a thought.
Alex you are a gem. I love the visual impact of that site. This is a great tip and I thank you.
I do want to go Wordpress because I am so familiar with it and it is easy.
Thanks again, I knew one of my WA buddies would have the answer.
Regards
Janelle
I looked at the source code. They are using a Joomla Template
from Rocket Theme
http://www.rockettheme.com/
and shortcode tools from:
https://bdthemes.com/
~Jude
keep in mind that many Wordpress themes give you a great amount of customization and you can come up with pretty much any appearance you can think of!
This is NOT a WordPress theme. What you can do is search the WP themes and choose one that is closest to this type of design.
Hi Janelle, all I could find is that it is build using Joomla. You could probably asked them what theme/template they are using.
Best regards, Anke

Hi Tee!
I picked up another theme, from outside, of WA, as I was having difficulty deleting one that wouldn't work well.
I searched, free themes... If you want the site, PM me, and I send it.

Just yesterday I accidently clicked and dragged a post on my site while in edit mode. The effect was to shrink the font.
All font, all posts, all pages titles, text, c
SOLVED!
Thanks to my lovely helpers, I now have my font back to the size I like ....and now I know how to make it any size I like.
Ctrl and roll !...
the mouse wheel makes it zoom in and out. Very cool, thank you ladies.
Now , back to my other little problems.
Janelle.
Hey Janelle,
Sounds like you made the same boo-boo I did myself recently.
While holding down you Ctrl key and turning the wheel on your mouse, you can zoom in and out on ANY web page.
When I did that accidentally while creating a blog post, I too panicked thinking I must have clicked an option .... but alas, I laughed at myself when I realized what I had done.
If that's what happened ... and let us all know, please?
Shazam!
Problem solved, thank you so much.
Sometimes the simplest things can make a day get wasted! I had been trialling a new plugin, same day, so I had it tagged as a suspect. How wrong.!
I'm glad you had this same problem recently!
Thank you for responding so soon. J
Is it a browser issue? Try a different browser and see if it looks the same. Or hold down the Ctrl key and tap the 0 (zero) key to reset your browser to normal.
When you moved it across did you justify it if its not that then perhaps this can help you Change Fonts and More with Tiny Mice

Yes I did a hasty and dumb thing.
I am just setting up a new site and wanted to get rid of all the default Wordpress pages and posts.
I deleted the home page, mistakenl
SOLVED!
Thanks for the great help guys. FYI I used a plugin called WordPress DataBase Reset. It deleted all content (3 pages) and kept all the plugin settings YAY!
Then I chose a new theme too.
Back in action.
Janelle
Hey Janelle,
Chris Scott (aka TeddyBear) created a training video on EXACTLY this issue: I've Screwed Myself Can I Restore a Lost post? Lost post ... lost page ... same method.
if it is not in your backup then try support to see if they can restore it - you do backup don't you?
your menu structure does not automatically update when pages are deleted - you have to remove the item manually.
good luck searching for it
phil
Thanks Phil. Yes I normally do back up but I just threw this site together this afternoon and hastily deleted the default home page. Then installed a bunch of plugins including backup. But I haven't backed it up. Doh.
I wonder if it would be easier to just can the whole site and start again. I'm using a siterubix - free one.
looks like it would be easier to start again
in future why not just use the exclude pages from navigation or change it back to draft rather than deleting
and remember to backup - even in a rush
before anything big is changed backup
yeah yeah i know you normally do - but you didn't
hope you get it sorted soon
phil
Have you tried looking in your trash at the top of your page? Sometimes you can restore trashed pages and posts from there.
You could also try this:
1 ->Go to Appearance -> Menus -> Pages -> View All -> If you see Home page then click Add to Menu. Then go to step 3 .
If Home page isn’t there in View All tab then proceed to step 2.
2 -> Go to Pages and create a new page HOME. Select the template for Home Page from drop down list.
3 -> Go to Settings > reading and select static front page, choose home for your home and blog for your blog.
SEE https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
I hope this helps.
Kathy
OK that KIND OF worked but I didn't really want the static front page.
Do you think if I reset all the default settings the original home page set up will appear? Or is it too late now that I have published 3 pages.
I would copy the 3 pages of content I have published first.
