I'm curious to know whether or not is acceptable to encourage new members who are in live chat and have not filled out their profile to take a second and do so.

Hi Darren, just a thought when we first arrive here we have the opportunity to try things out. So we do . Think it is a seven day trail period. If you think is a go you go premium by that stage I presume you will of completed your profile. All good.
Yes I agree that if someone is going premium they have indeed filled out a profile. I would still love if all my recurit at least filled out there profile. And I've been able to mention this in live chat and have them go dO it. So to me it seems that a friendly reminder might be well timed. Perhaps I'm wrong

You were right... it only takes a few minutes to do a profile... something to introduce oneself. I found numerous new members whose profile page is blank still! A little nudge, like you said, will do just fine!

I'm wantin to check if I have a penalty from Google or bing as I confirmed that I did receive a warning from placing an affiliate link I assume.

You can check it here, I believe, see if Google has your site (or any specific posts or pages) penalized in "the sandbox". If you are checking on a post or page, be sure to use the exact permalink, not just your main site url, of course.

If you don't have significant historical stats to analyze and compare, you won't be able to tell if you were penalized. Unless, of course, you received a notification in Google's Webmaster Tools console.

I'm still a bit new to Facebook, yet the idea of this group has some good traction to it. Be sure to include plenty of relevant humor behind this group. Dilbert comics are a good place to start building up ideas for this group
that's my whole gimmick. right now its shocking and funny ways people quit there jobs. going ok but I ned to get the group bigger. maybe i should look for other groups related.
no worries. its more of my trying to expand my tactics. I'm hoping to build a group that is interested in the topic and they do there own thing. but its a percentage of course so I just need to add more nd more friends. so far 30 people out of 150 are viewing the posts so its something,
I'm hoping that this group will be a good target audience who is already engaged with a problem. the problem I market an answer for. we will see if it works.

We all should be using FB to promote. It's in our lessons. You can share publicly (instead of to your friend list), or you can create a business page. Any friends who accept an invite to your business page would likely be ok with you cross promoting. Especially if the subject matter could tie into your businesd.
what I was doing was joining groups. but then I decided if I made a group I could steer the topic of discussion. which was the topic I want I hate my job. I make it funny and provoking in hopes to get it really active. then I'm going to pin my post to my WA review and maybe some other funnel ending there. but I'm hoping to actually get a good rate. I had like 1200 visitors last month and 8 invites with 1 profile file out. i want to improve the ratio. and I'm hoping this helps.
So I guess you are using a fan page and a closed group.
I am a strong believer of optimizing social media platforms like FB.
I have been working on creating viral posts in order to generate large volume of organic traffic to my site.

Good idea but I do not use facebook in that way do have it only for family though so not suitable and think others might worry if its only a personal one, hope it works out for you though

yes, you had two more coming. I think I had started on your first few before the tidal wave hit me then finished up earlier. I've returned many members comments so far. but still have the big boys and a couple little guys to take care of. I expect it'll be done tomorrow.

I noticed that the reason my comments were better this time was more to do with my content being better and more helpful than before.
Also I had noticed many people didn't understand what did rank and did not in terms of comments.
I acutely wrote a blog on my website about the vaule of comments in seo and that got a lot of great feedback
That was a pretty awesome idea :) I didn't bother taking part because I get and leave top quality comments anyway using that one thread, but it was a really great way to spur the community into action. I hope you do another one some time sooner than a year. :) I'm glad to hear it worked out so well, though.
