Uncertainties

Hi WA,

Today has got me thinking a lot about uncertainties in life. We have seen so many massive changes in recent times. The unknown is continuing to bring many worries to so many people as things continue to unfold.

Then I heard earlier today about the terrible earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria with so many casualties and missing people. So many lives have been lost and so many more are facing massively painful challenges ahead of them.

Acts of nature can randomly strike at any time. We are essentially at its mercy since we cannot control it. We can only prepare the best we can in the event of an emergency.

But when things start spinning out of control in our day-to-day life - perhaps our thoughts, our situation or challenge at hand - how we look towards getting through it can make all the difference.

At such times, I am reminded of Winston Churchill's quote, "If you're going through hell, keep going."

In other words, to get past the seemingly insurmountable you must keep moving forward, regardless of what it looks like. There really is no other option.

Things may be bad now. But they won't always be bad. The story of your worst worries hasn't happened yet, and maybe it won't.

Fear of the unknown is common. But it doesn't have to be the end of your story. Starting anything new can be daunting. Have faith in yourself and abilities.

You can change your own narrative by the way you approach a situation.

So the next time you're feeling down-and-out, take a moment to remember that quote. Just keep trudging along.

You will find your way and you CAN make your dreams happen. But it first all starts with you.

Life is filled with heartaches, pain, and several roadblocks.
We never know what is around the corner of each day for us.

I find comfort in these words
"You can change your own narrative by the way you approach a situation"

Having a plan beforehand on how to tackle things that are uncertain is the best preparation for us.

Yes, we may not know what the uncertainty may be, bit our positive mindset will always takes us through

I totally agree, Simone and I’m glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you so much for your supportive words. Hope you are feeling a wee bit better. :-)

Still plodding along carefully, Susan

Very good, Simone...baby steps. Take it easy, my friend :-)

There's no other way

I find that praying and trusting in God gives you great hope because I know that God is with me, and he will take us through.
Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean indeed. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Mean I ready home from work? Me?

Hi Susan,
If I'm afraid of anything, it's an earthquake, because I survived one as a little girl.
I am sorry and sympathize with the people who suffer the consequences and trauma of the unfortunate event.

Your post is good Susan.

Greetings,
Slavka πŸ‘‹

Hi Slavka…you were very lucky. That is a traumatic event so it is understandable. Thank you for sharing and dropping in with your thoughts. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‹

This is a very motivational post. Although I do think that some difficulties just seem to drag us down forever, you are correct. Trudging through, putting one foot in front of the other, will help us encounter circumstances that can balance the continued difficulties. I think it is staying put because of a difficulty that the worst thing to do.
Jim

There's a lot of truth in what you're saying, Jim. Some situations do just drag on and it's so hard to move out of that place. But to get unstuck, we have to change our perspective. Thanks so much for dropping by. It's nice to see you again. :-)

I have learned that letting go of struggle and looking for the good in everything is what keeps everything in perspective. Even in tragedy, there is hope and opportunities to make the world a better place .

That's very wise, Dianne. You are very right there. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and drop by. Much appreciated.

Amazing words...

Thanks very much, Jeeda. I appreciate you taking time to read and comment. :-)

A great post as always Susan, we must all strive to be as positive as possible even through the negative times...

As you say, this can't last forever... or can it only get worse???

Enjoy the rest of your day my friend! :-)

I hear what you mean, Nick...let's pray it's not forever. All we can do is try our best to keep positive and move forward. Thank you as always for your supportive comments. Have a good sleep, my friend! 😴

Absolutely Susan, we must all stay as positive as we can do in these times!

You're most welcome as always my friend! :-)

Thanks and much appreciated, Nick. πŸ€—πŸ‘
