Thank A Vet

Today, November 11th, we take a moment to remember all who have served to protect the freedoms that we are fortunate enough to currently enjoy.

In the US, it is called Veterans Day. In Canada, it is known as Remembrance Day. And in the UK, it is known as Armistice Day.

Poppy pins are often worn as they are symbolic of the sacrifices that our vets made in order to protect our freedoms, specifically from WWI.

Without the courage, strength and bravery that our service members showed in previous world wars, the world would be a totally different place today.

If you see a veteran or know someone who is...take a moment today and thank them for their service.

Take a moment of silence to remember all who have given so much, many the ultimate sacrifice. We appreciate and thank all who have served and continue to serve.

Hi west2000,, I want to personally thank you for writing this post. It means a lot to me because my husband served 25 years in the Marine Corp and Air Force..

You writing this post is thank you enough because you are grateful for your freedoms that we have in this country.

Mary

Hi Mary...you are most welcome. I've had family that served, and I know the sacrifices our military have given and do continue to give in order to provide us our freedoms. I'm grateful and will always stand with our vets. Thank you to your husband for his service.

Susan

Hi Susan,, You are most welcome so you know and understand about our vets and the military. Yes it is the hardest life there can be. Because you don't know if your husband or wife is coming back but that is something that comes with the job of the military.

When I saw this commercial about our veterans and they were asked the question "would you do it again" and they all said yes including my husband and any other veteran that I asked. I didn't really understand it because I wasn't looking at it from there point of view.

When I started looking at it from there point of view then I seen why they all said yes. And then I said yes I would be there always to support our veterans no matter what. As I have always said you can take the person out of the military but you can't take the military out of the person. And that is the gospel truth, I have seen it too many times first hand.

Mary

Hi Maryโ€ฆthank you for sharing. I agree. From those in service that Iโ€™ve known, it is an inner calling for a higher purpose, forever strong. Thank goodness for their service and commitment to protecting our freedoms. Have a nice weekend.

Hi west2000, You are so very welcome. This something that has to be known how our veterans are treated. Yes God uses anyone to help others. And God is with our military.

Hi Cathy...more should be done to recognize our amazing veterans. Without their incredible efforts, we wouldn't have basic freedoms and liberties. Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a lovely weekend :-)
