Fitting In

Hi WA Community,

I hope this message finds you well wherever you are in this incredible world.

Recently, I've been contemplating the idea of "fitting in."

We are born into this world and right out of the gate, we are inadvertently thrown into trying to figure out our place in life.

How do we know where we fit in?

Hopefully for most, we will be raised in a home situation with at least one loving caregiver that will help us find our way in life.

From there on out, we will face many situations where we have to quickly learn how to interact with others and determine where we belong.

From childhood to adulthood, we will navigate our way through school, family scenarios, houses of worship, social events and later on, work.

It's not always easy. It can be downright lonely at time. There's so much learning to do...and a lot of figuring out where we belong.

As we move through life, we learn how to behave, what to say and what to do in order to "fit in."

Finding other people that share a mutual understanding often makes us feel comfortable and socially safe. When we don't connect with others, we tend to move along.

But eventually, you will find your people. These will be the folks that get you, the ones that will laugh with you and not at you...those whom you can lean on, share with, help and connect with.

Mutual connection is often not easy. It can take ages to find someone whom you click with. But when it happens, it can be magical!

Don't be afraid to be your true, authentic self. It can be scary letting your guard down for fear of being judged and questioned. Be yourself and stand true to you.

Very soon you'll attract those who are like-minded. Those great folks will be the shining stars in your dark sky. They will encourage you, support you and boost you up.

I've found many during my time here and it makes my day to connect with them.

These are the people that will listen to you and be there for you when needed. You will finally feel safe to be who you are.

Know your worth because you are valued.

This concept of "fitting in" is one of the many fantastic aspects of this platform.

If you are new to WA, you will soon find your place to fit in. There's always someone to guide you, help you or prop you up when you are lost.

You're never amongst strangers at WA. Finding where you fit in is simply a click away.

Have a fantastic day!

-Susan

That was amazing Susan. And this is why i like talking to you because your down to earth. Talk in a language I understand. And always happy to hear from me. Makes me feel warm and welcome .like I can talk to you about anything. Even if it's nothing you do with being an affiliate. Thanks Dennis.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Dennis. That is so nice to hear. I may not have all the tech answers, but I do enjoy sharing my thoughts on life. Just trying to brighten the day a little. Have a pleasant evening.

I have to echo The Man With the Smoker. :) It took me years and years to find my people. We were all misfits. In my group in high school, I was the oldest, we had a Brain, a Rebel, and a Roper, the actual leader seemed to be a bit rebel/tough guy but turned into a brain (he is now an engineer), and a couple of preppie/yuppie girls. :D JD

I can totally relate to that, JD...high school showed that concept in full force. It takes time and an open heart to find where we belong. Thanks for jumping in. :-)

Your very welcome. Dennis

:D Most Welcome, Susan.

The right people with common interests like those here at WA make it pretty easy to fit in. The anonymity of the internet helps as well. Jim

So very true on both accounts. Thanks so much, Jim. It’s great to hear from you. 👍🏻

Yes, so true! You need the right community (for you) to fit in! If you finally find your tribe and feel at home, this IS magical.

Absolutely, Klaartje! Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment. It is most appreciated. :-)

A great read as always Susan! We are who we are as individuals... no two of us will ever be the same, but when we find a similar like minded person to connect with, the friendship can be invaluable! I believe that we all fit in here! I hope you are well dear friend and enjoy the rest of your day! 😉☺🤗

Thank you so much, Nick! Your words are so true. You’ve said it perfectly! I hope you are keeping well, too…have a pleasant evening dear friend. 😊😉🤗

You're most welcome my dear friend! Not the best of days here, but certainly not worst!! Hitting the sack very soon, so catch up with you again, well.... very soon ok!! 👍😉🌝🌞

You're welcome and thank you for you kind words!

👍😊

I always feel that one should always be yourself, don’t conform to what others THINK you should, stay true to YOU!

I agree with you, Mike. This can be a battle at times, but it's worth the effort to stay true to yourself always. Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts.

Thank you, Susan! -Mike
