Slow but Steady
Progress so Far
I signed up in December and have just completed level 2 as a premium member. This has been a challenge and something out of my comfort zone. Since I have never been a computer nerd or fascinated with computers, this has been challenge. Even things like Facebook that most people take for granted is something I don't do. About the same time I signed up here with WA, I created a Facebook account............ I haven't been back.
My Niche
The name of my website is Exotic Cars and Road Trips (exoticcarsandroadtrips.com). Most of my free time I would spend reading about exotic cars and think of great roads to drive them on. My wife and I enjoy road trips as well. I will usually find a cool two lane winding mountain road that looks like a fun drive and then my wife Linda will find cool places to eat and stay along the way. These have been some of our most enjoyable journeys.
So I decided to share what we love with others while perhaps being able to generate some income with affiliate marketing. We have not gotten to the point in our training to have any affiliate marketing on our site yet, however there are a lot of possibilities. We are thinking of choices like, exotic car rental companies, travel agency's, restaurants, hotels and anything else that would go with a road trip.
Success so Far
As I had mentioned I have not yet gotten any affiliate marketing on my site at this time. I have shared the site with friends and family and have received positive feedback. It has been a little frustrating starting this site in the winter months as most of our road trips are in the spring and summer.............. exotic cars are not great in the rain or snow. Really excited as spring is just around the corner and we have some great road trips planned.
Next 3 Months
In the next 3 months I hope to complete most of the training. The main goal will be to become an expert in SEO. I can see this is the most important aspect to gain traffic to your site. I have not found my site within the first ten pages of google yet, so we have some work to do.
We also hope to fine tune our niche and who our affiliate partners will be. Every day, I think of who a good affiliate partner would be for this site. Another one could be "Track Days" for your exotic cars.............. so many possibilities. We are excited with the possibilities and will see where the "road" takes us.
Next 6 Months
In the next 6 months I hope to have generated some income from the site. This site was started more for our passion of exotic cars and road trips, but why not generate a little income while sharing your passion with others.
We are excited to see how this grows............ I am most excited for more road trips and the great people and places we find along the way.
