I'm trying to pay for another year of Premium, but I seem to get stuck in a loop. I got a message that automatic payments have been cancelled on my account. I have no idea why.

You are recurring, so your payment will recur automatically when it comes due for renewal.

Your recurring date is set for November 28th.

Just make sure you have a current payment available on your account. You can update your billing information here if you need to.

Thank you Kyle,
It was just weird that I got an email telling me that WA had turned off my automatic subscription. That caused a panic.

Kyle has you covered here :)

Hey Wendy,
Very strange…maybe try send Kyle a PM he should be able to help…

Hi Wendy

Send Kyle a message, and he will get you all straightened out.

Thank you Jeffrey. I know how to access my favorites. That's not the issue the issue is the mess I find when I go to my favorites. No alpha order any more. It used to be neat and tidy - but alas things change.

Ah, I see! I hope that gets sorted out quickly then!

Jeff

Hey Wendy,

The following video may offer you the help you seek: I think you will find that it explains what you are seeing.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you so much. I got overwhelmed when I saw the mish-mash and never scrolled down. Now I see, when I keep scrolling, that the mess on top is sorted into alphabetical order at the bottom. It used to be easier and look much neater.

I'm actually surprised that a company on the cutting edge like WA couldn't come up with something easier. But I'm not a software engineer, so I'm no expert.

Those of us who have been here for a long time have hundreds of bookmarks. Oh well, at least I can find them now. Thanks again, very helpful video. 😊

There are soooo many tiny issues still needing to be addressed since they changed the format again, Wendy, that I'm surprised they haven't wanted to just quit. LOL!

Seriously though, I hear your frustration (I have a few of my own) but I know for a fact that the WA platform is NOT an easy build in order to protect us from hackers.

The easier the script used to create a website, the more hackers are enjoying themselves.

Have you ever had the joy of checking out Ruby on Rails? I contemplated that scripting at one time... but... passed. LOL!

And, you're very welcome for the video. I enjoy helping others.

No,..no Ruby on Rails, I leave the scripting and coding to others who know what they're doing. LOL.

I know WA is a complex site to build and maintain. And it does most things really well. With all the hacking I'd rather safety be a priority, which it is here at WA.

Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.

Click search hour glass and then a button will appear for favorites. Click on that to get to your bookmarked content

Thanks for your help! I did do that and I still have everything I bookmarked in one big hodgepodge with no rhyme or reason. My Wordpress favorites are mixed in with affiliate marketing favorites. It used to be in alphabetical order, and this was at least 4 years ago. There's no more order to any of it which seems to defeat the purpose of bookmarking things. I'm attaching a screenshot that shows everything in no particular order.

I would ask Kyle about it. I am new to wa but I noticed mine are not organized at all either. I would be curious as to what he tells you

unless you know what you save it as which you can type in the search bar when under favorites you will have to scroll through your list until you find it.
Yes it used to be in alphabetical order not sure why it was changed to this was it looks messy I agree,

You're a genius, thank you! I didn't know you have to manually go into account settings and downgrade from Jaaxy Pro to Jaaxy Lite. I did that and everything works now. Thanks again. 😊

I just bought a HP, and have used HP Pavillion Desktops for nearly 20 years. I can attest to the quality of both though make sure you get a higher processor and more RAM than the 4GB I have on the new laptop or you're going to notice a slow down from your PC. I love both but things are definitely slower working from the laptop if they are graphics rich like video.

Thank you. I am a very big believer in the latest, fastest processor and the most amount of RAM that can be stuffed into the machine. My Macbook is five years old, and I insisted when I bought it new they up the RAM to 16GB. I'm glad I did, it still runs like it's brand new.

hi Wendy -- i've been using a Dell product with Windows 10 for the past few years and it functions pretty well ....

with the next one, i'd recommend that she check out the keyboard size for her digit comfort and also a back-lit one might be good as I'm thinking of that for my next laptop/notebook ...

so much out there available now with features that are fully loaded and standard ... webcams included ... :)

There is a lot to choose from, that's for sure. My biggest issue with Windows machines is memory. They slow down because they don't have enough RAM. 16GB of RAM should be standard on every laptop at this point but people don't like paying extra.

actually the best laptop ever was my original Toshiba loaded with Windows XP .. after 13/14 years, it would still be running if they supported it! ... best program ever! ...

anyway, this Dell product isn't as sturdy and I find Windows 10 'jumpy' earlier on -- very annoying! ...

ah well, just have a real good l👀K around and check them all out regarding their features and of what you'd need to use it for ..

i prefer simplicity ... enjoy your shopping! ... cheerio ... :)

Sometimes too many choices are overwhelming. She's not a tech person so I'm trying to steer her to one or two choices. I had some work experience with Dells a while back - it wasn't a happy experience. I'm afraid I don't love Dell. Thank you for responding. :-)

Hi Wendy,

I have a Lenovo Yoga and love it. I've only used the webcam a couple times for basic work meetings, so not really enough to form a strong opinion either way on that functionality, but it seemed fine in my limited use of it. My laptop is just about three years old and wasn't one of the more expensive Yoga models, so I would think that the pre-installed webcams are better now throughout the product line anyway.

Before the Lenovo I had an HP, which was a disaster.

Hope this helps,
Jordan

It does help, thank you. :-)

Hi Wendy, I recommend a Dell Laptop:- https://www.dell.com/en-uk/dfh/shop/dell-refurbished-laptops/cp/outlet-dfh

Thanks Tim I'll check it out.

I have always liked the HP and Dell. Both are good names.
Joe

I've heard HP is very good and Dell no longer has the reputation it once had, but a lot of people still love them. Thanks for responding. :-)

Check eBay for good prices on refurbished Dells--I bought two and my daughter one and also bought a Dell chromebook--all for under $400 with free shipping!

There's not a magic formula for blog posts. The number could be 17 or 9 or 22. The key is what number is the right number to answer the question posed at the beginning of the post. Sometimes a weird number will attract more attention than a Top 10 or something like that. Focus on content.

Interesting, Jeannine! I never thought about it that way!

I never thought of it that way. It's a valid perspective. I'm just not sure how many people in 2020 have the attention span and time to read a list longer than 5-10 items. Thank you for responding. :-)

Very fair point, so make it 7 items or 4 items or whatever fits. Make it great!

Hey Wendy,

Check out the screen print... the answer I received when asking Google.

Hope you find this helpful.

Well that cinches it then--thanks for sharing!

Thank you for that screen shot. That is fascinating. If 25 is the magic number, I wonder how much text/content for each item is optimal amount. My original question seems to lead to more questions. LOL. ;-)

Hey Wendy,

The secret is this... write for your readers and NOT for search engines. So, to answer your question as to "how much text/content for each item is optimal amount" ...write until you have nothing more to add.

One item may have only 3 sentences to explain it, yet others may need an example to get your point across. You need to stop looking at this like it is a cookie-cutter presentation.

Most professionals have found that odd numbers get clicked on more often than even numbers.

So, let's say you have a list of 8 things, then maybe try either dropping a weak item or merging two that really should be listed as one and making your list 7 things instead of 8.

To prove or disprove the odd number list theory, you would need to run a split test to find out for certain. Personally, I have taken the pros word for what works best.

I think more than 10 is too many and it would discourage me from reading if I saw top 20 or top 30 tips/items.
So far I've written two top 10 posts, never thought of adding more to that :)

I agree, more than 10 is too many. :-)

I like shorter lists. Best wishes.

Hi Wendy,

I think for something like this, maybe 10 to 15 items is enough to not put your visitors off. 30+ items will be too many for people to read in my opinion.

But the main thing to remember is that any article you write, and no matter how short or long it is, the information must be relevant and written with the reader in mind .

Hope this helps!

Tim

It does Tim, thank you. :-)

I was surprised by the demand for information and product recommendations for this niche on Jaaxy. So the need is there - and the competition is mostly generic and recycled crap from people who do not suffer with this condition.

And I've tried just about every product available for this issue- so I have lots of experience with it which is the most important thing. I do believe I am able to help them solve this problem with decent products. As long as I stay focused.

I just want to make sure I'm not overwhelming my audience.
