I Saw Kindness Today
I just have to share an experience I had today.
I took most of the day off and made a small trip with my husband concerning his work. On our way to a city about 2 hours away, we came to an intersection with a tow truck and a police car parked in the middle of the road. The tow truck driver was directing traffic, with a flag, to slow down and veer around the 'scene'.
As we slowly drove by, we saw a young man, maybe 12 - 14 years old, sitting right in the middle of the road. His hands were behind his back. It appeared there had been some kind of altercation. I don't know any of the circumstances.
It just broke my heart for the young boy. But I have to tell you what I observed the police officer doing. He was sitting right in the middle of the road with that young man. He sat there, facing this boy, with the kindest, and most gentle expression I believe I have ever seen. I saw such compassion and concern. I saw empathy. He was talking to this boy earnestly with tears in his eyes. At that point, I realized that here sits a man who probably has minimal training in how to deal with a child going thru some sort of trauma, earnestly doing his best to help this young man. My heart broke for both of them.
As we passed them, both my husband and I began to pray for this young man and the hero that was there, trying to help him.
So often, kindness doesn't get attention. Today, I wanted to share the act of kindness that I was witness to.
Thanks for reading.

You’ve described the scene in a touching and graceful way, Wendi
Whatever the outcome, you simply witnessed and described a real life situation, and as someone mentioned it’s intriguing and appeals to our human nature.
The real global news is so dramatic and often filled with doom and gloom to the point where I’m sure that it depresses a lot of people.
So it’s nice to read real life stories albeit on a much smaller scale, but with a positive and personal touch
Best wishes
Heyday
Thanks for your kind words. I really do appreciate it.
Best wishes right back to ya, my friend.
Wendi :)
Heydey, you hit on something with the description that I and most likely others will miss, very nicely put
Wonderful, story, of good news, Wendi!
"God, doesn't make housecalls...He, sends people."
There is so much good, all around us.
Thank, you, Wendi, for this touching reminder.
Barb
Thanks Barb for your encouragement.
I love the saying "God doesn't make housecalls...He sends people."
All the best,
Wendi
Beautiful story Wendi, it's the subtle gestures, the look in the eyes, and soft expressions that speak volumes to kindness.
Thanks so much for sharing this touching story.
Kaju
Thanks Kaju. It just really hit me, yesterday. It was just a very real and human moment. Know what I mean?
Wendi
Yes Wendi, that's to tell you that we should be more and more flexible in this life because there are still real human beings with still the God given original human heart which is full of Compassion, Love and Kindness. Not every human being who've been already corrupted with the heart of the ravaging nephilims whom number is outgrowing the normal human beings!
Let's still believe in doing good and being helpful like that policeman you saw. And WA is the best plateform to desmontratrate that positive attitude!
Cheers!

Hi Wndi
The nature of kindness! Quite inexplicable, isn't it? its opposite is that inexplicable rage or cruelty. I think understanding often breeds kindness and will tone down anger and wanton cruelty. The policeman you saw understand very clearly the pain of a traumatised child!
In a sense, the subject of my post this week will be on kindness. Watch the space.
Awesomeness!
Mojalefa,
I sure will.
All the best,
Wendi
