The most important part of any marketing program, blog, post advert, letter, is how you communicate with potential and existing customers. SIMPLE!

Every single headline, sub headline, sales message, post, needs to be measurable and even changing a single word can make an amazing difference. As I always emphasis to my clients, “Brilliant Writing is not Rocket Science, but it is a Science”.

Back to Basics

Imagine for a moment the control, the power you would have in life if you could control your subconscious mind at any time into the feeling you most desire.

You are the master, the author of every single thought you have, giving you absolute control over your emotional state. Now you need to master the art of positive ‘self-talk’ and it will no longer be important what happens in your life, what is more important are the words you choose to frame any event in your mind.

Most of us are negative in the extreme, and these type of thoughts and words severely hamper and sabotage what you will achieve in the business world. Many of us write 1-2000 words daily in our blogs and posts but contrast this with the stat that the experts tell us, every moment we use approximately 1000 thousand words per in our minds.

Imagine what this can do for our emotional state if, the majority of these thoughts and words are negative? However, well-chosen words can inspire, persuade, lead, impress, attract, alter emotions and this is what we must focus on to be successful and profitable.

Words can Transform our Feelings and Emotions such as

• ● Feel depths of despair or unlimited choice
• ● Make an enemy or a friend
• ● Feel down or joyous on a rainy day
• ● See yourself as failure or remarkable success
• ● Dream big or dream small
• ● Live in poverty or comfort
• ● Picture yourself as defeated or successful
• ● Feel tired or full of energy
• ● Dream small or dream big
• ● Pass judgement or accept a friend

Choose the words you use, especially with yourself, carefully and wisely. You may remember this poem “Two men looked through prison bars. One saw the night and one saw the stars”.

It depends on what you choose to focus on as you “speak” to yourself as words have the absolute power to control your entire life and before you write make a list of some personal affirmations.

For example

• ● I feel terrific
• ● I love my work
• ● I Cannot fail-only get results
• ● If I persist nothing can stop me
• ● I can do it
• ● I am what I learn
• ● I will write with honesty and feeling
• ● Each day I’m getting closer to my goals

So much of the writing on the Internet is poor and incredibly boring. Writing that is respected and admired everywhere is the result of a lot of writing and rewriting. You need to do numerous drafts and rewrites. Other tips include

• ● Outline what you want to say before writing a word
• ● Target the exact audience you want to attract. If you try to write for everyone you will end up writing for nobody.
• ● Create a powerful differentiator, something which makes you different from your competition.
• ● Create powerful headlines and sub-headlines. 90% of people read headlines more than the body copy. Eliminate every unnecessary word.
• ● Have you an irresistible offer which is good too good for your reader to miss out on.
• ● Have you outlined the features, the benefits and the emotional reasons why your reader would want your products or services?
• ● Can you offer a guarantee which transfers any risk from the potential buyer to yourself?
• ● Explicitly outline the reasons why your reader should buy from you.
• ● Have you any testimonials from others happy with your goods or services?
• ● And always include a CTA (call to action) which is time framed and creates urgency.

Think of the marketing edge you will gain over your competition and everyone else in this world once you learn the time-tested secrets, the first of these are above.
