I have a website that I developed for the stokvel travel groups but I do not seem to have enough knowledge nor find more relevant articles regarding the stokvel travel. I only

Yes, you can, Welcome!

Jeff

Great question I’m just reading what everyone has to say because I thought about this also changing my niche thanks

Thank you a lot Dorrie, at times is as simple as Asking.

Kind Regards

Hey Welcome,

Yes, of course you can change your niche. Whether you would need another domain would depend on the name you gave your present domain... but.. registering a domain costs peanuts, so might be well worth starting over.

Here's what happened to me back when I started...
I started 5 different SiteRubix sites, deleting one and starting another. Each had a different niche, simply because I couldn't decide what to focus on.

Once I found 2 what I thought were separate niches, I registered those domains. However, once I got to creating content, I realized how interwoven these 2 niches were... and so... I registered a brand new domain and merged the other 2.

I'm still working on that merged site now... AND, I learned how to merge 2 websites, how to clean up those sites once merged, and a whole lot more.

Never be afraid to start over again if you feel the need to.

Here's a great tutorial that you may find very helpful: Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you very much Triblu for the encouragement and for sharing the practical experience you had with your website. I will definitely look into the options you suggested.

Regards
Welcome Moeng

Search Amazon for some niche ideas. Or Look on Google. Do a mind map and work out what any of your interests might be. Think laterally and as far out of the box as you can. What is there locally where you live that might be useful globally that perhaps has a low profile but IS available via e.g. Amazon or other similar sites. I hope this helps.

Have a great day and perhaps sleep on it for ideas. Its surprising how many you might think of when you are relaxed or early in the morning !

Thank you, Trevor, I had started searching around and so excited that I found something that is quite relevant and would boost my writing as well something I am passionate about, "Hiking locally".

hey hi Welcome ... good question and of course, all questions are good ones here ...

is your existing website already indexed and ranked by search engines? ... and volume of traffic? ...

and it depends ultimately of where you'd like to be...

recognizing that this world situation has affected all travel ... you might want to consider 'virtual tours?' ...

Hi Keisha,
The website is indexed and ranked and I thank you for sharing some pointers with regard to virtual tours. I already was preparing some articles on the impact of virtual tours on travel and the value they may create. And while I was reading your advice, then I began to find another angle as to a way to write more on some topics.
Thank you for always being helpful.

Kind Regards

... wonderful .. glad you're back well on your WAy again ...

and yes, of course, people will still want and need the thrill of 'newness' and 'experiencing' ... new sights et al ..
