what type of website did you find worked best for you in the beginning?

Here is the earnings report for my first full calendar month as an Amazon Associate: http://bit.ly/1BA54xO. Keep in mind, though, that I was at the time the only way to spend bitcoins on Amazon. I'm building new sites now that are taking a lot longer to get that kind of traffic. ;-)

This is really a loaded question because the answer is going to be different for everyone. No two people are the same and the success of this business all depends on the individual behind the keyboard.
If your focus is on making money and not providing quality content for your readers you will most likely end up making mistakes that will cost you in time and work.
We all want to earn money through this marketing program, that's why we're here and I understand that.
But you need to understand that this is nothing like any of the get rich quick scams that are being promoted all over the internet.
This is the real deal and if you are serious about building a business that provides an income for yourself then it's going to take time and work.
Some people do it faster then others, and some people never succeed at all because they give up before they reach the place that they're trying to get to.
If you are looking for someone to tell you you can make a lot of money fast and easy you're not going to find that here. What you will find here is truth.
I would expect you to get some other feed back on this question and it will probably all be directed at helping you. This is a community of believers and hard working people that are all willing to help each other.
Believe me when I tell you, you're in the right place! You have full access to people that have a lot of experience and are making millions of dollars, that are more then willing to help you along in achieving your goals.
That in itself should be enough incentive for you to make a commitment to yourself to do whatever it takes to be successful at this.
